I am newer to this history, but I have a real sensitivity to hypocrisy. What I want to know is why the Hunt brothers were villainized and there was all sorts of public outcry and legal action while JP Morgan appears to go on without consequence. WHY? I don't know if the hoarding of metal by a large institution is wrong in and of itself, but I really have a problem with the apparent double-standard. Maybe the lesson here is if you're going to do something like this, make sure you grease the right government people.
