No American Eagle palladium bullion coins will be struck or issued by the U.S. Mint in 2018!!
Are we witnessing a real-time shortage of Palladium? Is the same now true for Platinum? Is Russia (now the worlds largest Palladium producer) withholding supply?
After the huge success of the 2018 Palladium Proof coin where 14,881 sold out in under 5 minutes, I find it really odd that the US Mint has announced that they are not producing the 2018 Bullion version of the coin. Its not from a lack of demand certainly.
Coin World is also reporting that:
Also, according to Mint spokesman Michael White, the 30,000 2018 American Eagle platinum bullion coins struck at the West Point Mint and sold to authorized purchasers so far this year comprise the entire 2018 mintage for that bullion version.
The U.S. Mint first began accepting orders for the American Eagle platinum bullion coins on Feb. 12, 2018, when 20,000 coins were made available. The Mint reported a temporary sellout on Feb. 14 while additional production was executed. An additional 10,000 coins were offered to authorized purchasers on May 18 and sold out the same day.
I've written a half a dozen times or so how all of the political drama in Russia and South Africa are huge risks to the supply of Platinum and Palladium. If you haven't added just a little to your stack, you could be missing out on a huge upside swing and an opportunity to roll some of those profits into Gold and Silver. Get on it.
The United States just doesn't mine enough of the stuff. Their production is dwarfed by Russia and South Africa.

Palladium might be the most undervalued asset in the world. Still I never invested in it because of the ridiculous spread I need to pay here in Holland. Might be different in other countries.
Strange! Definitely something going on guessing we'll find out soon in the news, good observations 🕵️
Very astute. Well done and thanks for the heads up!
Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold
I decided to invest in steem but it is not too late yet to buy some platinum as well. Palladium same thing. Man, Russia has gas and precious metals while our Dutch natural gas is almost fully used. We have to keep friends with them.
Good call man!
My Guess, is that the Face Value on the $25 Palladium
U.S. Coin will end up with the Purchasing Power of 2,500
Federal Reserve Note Dollars, after the Reset of all U.S. Coinage...
The $100 Face Value U.S. Platinum Coins will have the same
Purchasing Power of 10,000 Federal Reserve Note Dollars,
after the Reset as all U.S. Coinage... They sold out fast...
