Europe : Price of Philharmonics vs American Silver Eagle vs OZ kangaroo

Stackers,

In Europe we can buy all major bullion coins but prices do differ. Any idea how much they differ and what we pay in Europe?

On below two screen shots (source gold.de comparison site) you see the Philharmoniker prices at various German dealers and further below the same for the American Silver Eagle (A.S.E.) .

Philharmoniker

The A.S.E.

On average the Philharmoniker is 16.70 EUR / 20.70 USD and the ASE is 17.34 EUR/ 21.50 USD. A difference of 0.64 EUR/ 0.80 USD. In % the ASE is 3,8% more expensive.

Is there a cheaper well accepted bullion coin in EURO ?

Well, yes and no.

This Australian coin is cheaper but not yet as well established for resell as the other coins.

I am not gonna give any advice as the differences are not that big but if selling them quickly is important you cannot do wrong with either ASE or Philharmoniks when you live in Europe. Not sure how Philharmoniks are accepted in the US though.

Anyone else?

I would say all these coins are recognized worldwide, the choice is yours as always, buy those coins which you like and for the best premium........Try to buy in countries which do not add additional tax to keep your premium over spot as low as possible............Go get ya some

Get the Kangaroo. That coin has an anti-tampering thing now I think.

Saw your comment on my post and came here. Thanks for the tip man!

I'm not sure exactly where you live... If or when you buy or sell your Personal Silver, what do you use as a Medium of Exchange...??? By the way... Who "owns" your Medium of Exchange and how much "interest" do they "Charge" your Country for using it...???
