Stop this Blatant Stealing of our Heritage

News is spreading through the UK Numismatic Coin Community that Japanesse Collectors and Investors are trying to buy as many 1847 Gothic Silver Crowns and are next moving onto the Gothic Florins.

We want to keep these special Coins in the UK so anybody with any good Quality Gothic Crowns or Florins please let us know, these coins are be bought with large premiums attached to them, but we must not lose the best to foreign investors help us keep them in the UK.

Any one thinking of selling please let me know at paul@silverdays.co.uk

Any idea why this is happening? Is it possible it's just a rumor meant to increase interest in this coin by someone looking to sell a bunch of them?

Hope so I have a few but if they want mine It's Dam War, they won't have to worry about those pesky North Koreans, Regal will be at em, hip hip hooray I say.

I don't blame then for stacking such a beautiful coin. Better get them while you can.

"Stealing of our heritage"??? I think you'll find that the buyers are paying for the goods and the sellers are accepting the price offered. Therefore, not "stealing" anything.
If you want to see what theft looks like, I direct you to Exhibit A: the British Museum.

Exhibit A: Technically, that's plundering or pillaging? The spoils of conquest. 'Theft' suggests some degree of stealth. :P

As Eddie Izzard said, they did it with the cunning use of.. flags. "Do you have a flag? No flag, no country. It's ours now!"

Thank goodness things like this don't happen any more! (Cricket sounds & tumbleweed)

How dare you Sir, were BRITISH WE DO NOT STEAL WE AQUIRE a Noble British Trait.

How dare you Sir, were BRITISH WE DO NOT STEAL WE AQUIRE a Noble British Trait.

Are they melting them or destroying them??? Or are they just HODLing them? (sorry, I just couldn't resist 😁)

Just Thrink they arwe trying to Crapture the marget, god it must be spleading ROR (Raugh out Roud)

Lets keep these beauties at home where they belong :)

So long as they aren't melting them to inflate their best examples' rarity is it such a problem? If the British museums have a good amount it's never really lost. Plus, they could issue an official re-strike whenever they wan't, can't they? Just to spite the hoarders.

Maybe it is just a publicity stunt. I am not worried. SOV.

Well not sure how true those rumours are but definitely something noble to do in keeping these heritages in the UK.
