Introduction
One of the most difficult thing to keep up with, is the number of projects founded on the Steem blockchain. Hundreds of apps are available, some are block explorers, some are programming tools, some witness tools. But it's impossible at this point to track everything that is going on. It's a great problem to have but someone had to step up to solve it...
...introducing SteemProjects by @Noisy.
What SteemProjects.com Is
SteemProjects help us to know what apps are being developed on the Steem Blockchain. It gives helpful information such as:
- A description of the project
- The team and contributors on their github (each user has their own profile on SteemProjects.com)
- The amount of activity on the github
- A timeline of the project
From there you can bookmark by adding a project to your "Favorites" in order to have fast and easy access in the future.
How To Add Your Favorite App to SteemProjects.com
It's fairly straight forward. All you have to do is login via Github or SteemConnect and go to "Add Project" in the top right corner.
From there, you are presented with a form to add your favorite Steem app or project to steemprojects.com website.
A reputation score is allocated to each project to help users make better decisions. I think this is particularly important in the case of browser extentions, desktop applications, mobile apps and ICOS.
Why I Think SteemProjects.com Is Important
With the advent of SMTs, hopefully in the next few months, many projects will want to launch their ICO and I believe thousands of new apps will come alive via the Steem Blockchain. It is a great place to advertise your future ICO as well as giving users a survey of what you want to do (along with a reputation score from SteemProjects)
We already have a hard time to keep up and catalog everything that is going on, imagine when ICOs will come live! SteemProject seems to be a clean and straightforward way for people like me to bookmark my favorite projects and know which one are active, who's in the team, the timeline, etc.
With SteemProjects, we don't only depend on the devs of an app or SteemProjects devs to keep the site updated, we have the whole community participating!
Contributing to SteemProjects.com
This website is an entirely volunteer-driven effort. That includes coding time and hosting costs. If you wish to help or show your gratitude, there are plenty of ways in which you can do that:
- Make sure that entries about your favorites projects are in the good shape, edit them if they aren't.
- If your favorite project is not listed, you can help by adding it. Here is guideline which says how to do that properly.
- Did you found a bug? If it is not listed on SteemProjects github, please let them know about it! (You can use Utopian.io for that!)
- Are you a developer? Participate to this open source project! Here is a list of issues to solve.
- Do you own a Steem-related project? Add a signature to your post about a possibility of adding your project to user's favourite projects.
- Add SteemProjects to your favorite projects :)
- Follow their team-members on Steemit:

- Share a link to SteemProjects every time you would like to show how active our community is

wow fantastic development indeed and no doubt by using steem projects.com we can now easily mark our favorite website and then use them at the time of need and this development surely strengthened the steem blockchain even more and i visit and explore the website and i don't see steemgigs listed their, so i suggest to add the steemgigs a Fiverr of Steem blockchain in steemprojects.com so user's can mark it as favorite and use it at the time of need.
Did you know that you can add SteemGigs yourself? That's the beauty of it.

I feel like this is great !! This is going to change the block chain big time and we would be able to see everything all under one page and always be updated with what the projects are doing . Some projects I have seen are getting bigger than the others which is great , I love seeing smiles on faces and the glow in their eyes because Steemit has changed their life . I wanted to start a project with Pakistan , but I didn’t know how to go out , I had post but no one really wanted to go to that level .

I like this site and I have listed my own project there (Steem Ocean). The only issue I have with it is that if i search for my project by typing 'steem ocean' it doesn't turn up in the results.
That's a good example of using utopian.io to let @noisy and SteemProjects about it.

I wish we had a backup to the steemd site. That site seems to go down a lot which sucks for me.
https://steemdb.com is a similar site to steemd that you can use if you like. ;)
I guess it is. The format of steemd is a lot better. Is it open source? Could somebody copy it and make a backup?

This is sorely needed. If @ned's goal of 100K entrepreneurs on this blockchain is met, then we could well see a total mess. The one drawback I see is that many of the wonderful creations by people are not seen by the masses. There are some on here who continually post about particular apps trying to bring recognition to them. Nevertheless, having a one stop place for all the apps is a great idea.
Personally, I cannot keep up with it all. As I look to transition out of a job and go full time steemian, there are many avenues to explore. STEEM is in need of great help and I need to consider where my time and efforts are best used.
Reading your posts is of great help since you tend to uncover projects that do not see a lot of light. Hopefully, I can start to do something similar.

I just paid steemprojects.com a visit. I knew there were a lot of Steem-based projects, but I had no idea that there were this many. How is your JavaScript-learning going by the way? Will it result in a project on steemprojects.com?
I think this will be super useful in the years to come as steem gets more popular and more developers get involved with this blockchain.
Although the website is not ready yet, so I think we will have to wait a little while to start adding projects there.
Either way, being able to find every project in just one place will save us a lot of time if we want to be on top of everything that is being developed.
I think it is this kind of initiatives that can make steem a top blockchain in the future, community driven initiatives.

I think you can also contribute it! Few weeks back you added a spread sheet and people started discussing about their projects! Somehow few of them can be listed there! With SMT there will be a huge amount of STEEM based apps and projects will be alive! Therefore, this is a good project and also a kind of good case study they have done as well! Thanks for providing a lot of details about it! I wish one day your apps will be top listed here too!

Nice! I am very exited too, because of the new projects comming there are more ways to express our creative sides to others.
Also, how cool would it be to put your steem rewards in an ICO. Just go straight ahead and send sbd or steem to it and boom, you are done, fast, easy and probably more important... SAFER.
What I mean by safer is that when ico's on steemit will go live and only atract crowds when you are well known on the blockchain and a very valid person to do so which you can read on their reputation power.
Also these ICO launghsers will make articles about their projects and inform people way better because of the payouts in steemit. It will give them some rewards while getting the project in a timeline. I guess it will be more rewarding when using steem for ICO'S, for founders and early adopters.

Great project. There are so many projects that you can easily lost track, but in my opinion this is a good thing for Steem. By now we all know that steem blockchain is the best, so we can expect price to rise in the future.

The wonderful news, my friend and I imagine how many of us will be facilitated by the appearance of the SteemProjects, since the Steem Blockchain is multifaceted and you are absolutely right in that sometimes it is not possible to immediately cover all sites and applications, as the SteemProjects will surely help us. Its a really great and exciting project. There are tons of things going around here and there in steemit and it’s hard to keep up and know what’s happening around,sometimes the work feels like a total mess, after the project app will cover pretty much everything is going to be awesome and hassle free. That’s what we are waiting here for,like Facebook has an app which includes everything we too need an app like that and your project is going to make that possible.thanks for sharing.plus we are going to be able to see all the projects going on in on a single site or page which is going to make things whole lot easier for the project makers and investors as well.

I didn't know this yet.. like you said each day ned things are coming on the Steem blockchain, sometimes I also miss a fantastic new project.. For sure I check this out.. I use the Steemfify app a lot. But also Dlive.

SteemProjects has been a long time coming on steemit. I always find something new on steemit week in, week out. It has been hard to keep track of all these projects. This is going to upgrade my activity on steemit. SteemProjects is a handy tool that has come at a time when we are seeing many new users coming on the platform. With this tool, the new users will easily fit into steemit.. as their will be various activities to engage in when one can easily monitor them.
