For more than 20 years the results of Arabica coffee from North Tapanuli have been known to the world as one of the best coffees with a distinctive aroma and strong taste. Europe and America are the coffee markets of North Tapanuli, this is evidenced by the establishment of a coffee processing plant which is located in the city by one of the largest coffee companies in the world, Starbucks. Starbucks has used coffee from northern tapanuli as one of its superior products.

But unfortunately until now there are still many coffee farmers in Taput who do not know the quality of the coffee that they plant. Most arabica coffee farmers think that coffee is for making gunpowder, it's weird ... but that's the fact.

In 2016 - 2018 coffee plantations on taput suffered nearly 70% damage, crop failure and pest attacks became a scourge. It turns out that excessive use of chemicals and reduced soil water content due to deforestation and climate change are the main causes of coffee damage in taput. Even though this year's coffee prices soared to Rp. 420,000 per can.

The picture above is one of the off-harvest processing processes for natural methods, easy and concise coffee processing. The following stages of the process:

1. First ripe coffee cherries / red soaked in water.

2. Then separate the floating fruit (the fruit is not good even though the color is red).

3. Do drying, usually done in 'dome' or 'green house'. It takes approximately 3 weeks for maximum and even results.

With an organic system, Sibadak Coffee can thrive. the use of regular permentation compost, planting of protective crops, not using chemical pesticides and herbicides, the use of the latest agricultural equipment, and the measured coffee processing becomes an obligation for the treatment of Sibadak coffee plants. As a result we can taste the best quality specialty coffee with a distinctive aroma and taste. Bitter, sweet, sour, brown, and caramel flavors unite into Sibadak Coffee.

Proud of being a North Tapanuli Coffee Farmer, you can feel the delicious coffee from your own plant and process it yourself.

Until here I end this post that discusses coffee processing, hopefully friends all like it and hopefully can add to our knowledge about coffee.
