In the previous blogs we talked about signing up for Steemit and getting started on Steemit and how to use the tags and the basics. So, we hope you have successfully created your Steemit account and made your first post.
But, after you made your first post, you might have noticed you are not notified anywhere every time someone upvotes your post or comment on it or leave you a reply, right?
Once you start to use Steemit, you’ll find yourself using these different DApps. The first of such search normally begins with the “finding notifications” process.
It is a major difference you will notice once you land on Steemit and being used to those red alerts everywhere, it can be hard coming back to a blank page every time and not knowing the reaction to the previous post.
Well, it is not completely true that you can not find the activities on Steemit, but not all of them are easily visible or at least not the way how it works on other social media platforms.
Notifications Available On Steemit
What you have on Steemit for notifications are:
- Comments
- Replies
- Transactions in the wallet
You can go to the comments sections and see if someone has commented on any of your post. This includes replies to your comments on someone else’s post too. That comment is also considered as a new post.
Next is the reply section where you can see your replies to other posts. Other than these two, you will need to individually go to posts to find who upvoted your content, if you are using Steemit.
This is where you first find out about the apps like Busy.org, Steempeak , partiko, esteem and many more. In this blog post, we are going to introduce to you different mobile apps and sites you can use to get notified on all your activities on Steemit.
DApps That Notifies You
There are few apps that are available on mobile phones and some only work on your browser. However, since these are projects relatively new, most of them are in their beta stage and constantly getting upgraded with new features.
Mobile DApps for Steemit Notifications
These are the two mobile applications you can use to both post and access Steem activities. They are available on the Google play store and you can use them just like any other regular app. It’ll send you a notification when someone upvotes your content, comments on it, mentions you and other transactions.

Partiko
Partiko is just like any other mobile application. You can download it from Play store and Apple store. Partiko will notify you everytime someone upvotes your content, comments, mentions and all other transactions. Like all other Dapps, Partiko is also bringing new features and you can also get partiko points that can be redeemed. More on that later.
Esteem
Esteem is a mobile app where you can make your posts, edit and also notifies you of any activity like upvotes, comments, mentions and transactions. Esteem uses a security password each time you login to have a safe experience. Again, more features on this app is expected in this app.
Desktop Apps For Steemit Notification
These are the DApps you can use it on desktop and I’m sure you will love these more than the Steemit interface. Again, more and more interesting features are coming day by day on these platforms. So, try them and see which one you like beyond the notifications.

Steempeak
Steempeak is one of the best interfaces we found that can make your Steemit life easier. This Dapp not only gives you the notifications but makes your posting easier with easy markdown and scheduling. The latest changes like bringing “tribes” to life are a few of the commendable features on Steempeak.
The best feature of Busy.org is you can just check the images in an article without even opening to read it. You can read more about Steempeak here and connect on Discord here.
Busy.org
Busy.org also has a great interface for reading the article and publishing. You will be notified of all your steem activities near the bell button on the top right corner. Busy also has a great editor to make your writing easier. More advanced features are also expected from Busy in the future.
Steemd
Steemd is more of a place where you check to now everything about your account or anyone’s account, in a little more detail. Give your user id in the search bar [don't forget to add "@" before the username] and you will be shown every single detail about your transactions.
It will also show your account details with how much RC you are left with and how many upvotes and comments you are left with. You can also anyone's activities here using their user id.
Conclusion
Dapps are much advanced in terms of user experience and there are many of them offering unique experiences in different niches. Since we are dicussing about notifications on this post, we found these apps to be the ones which notify you of every steemit activitiy.
Do you know any other ways or app that gives you notifications on your Steemit activities? Let me know so that we can add to the list.
