This is great Neoxian. will you be offering bigger amounts?

yea just scale the price up if you want 20K etc..

Perfect thank you.

65 SBD startup and then 45 SBD each additional week for a delegation of 10K SteemPower!

This is absurdly high. Users would be better off simply selling their SBD, buying STEEM, and powering it up themselves. The chances of them recovering that money and making a decent profit for the amount of curating that would be necessary would be pretty slim.

Also, with the end of the experiment coming when HF19 is implemented, lower-SP voting power will likely have far less influence than it does now. Combine that with the elimination of the n^2 algorithm, and users could be taking some fairly large losses by renting at your high prices.

Why not have the user split their curation rewards with you instead? No need to charge them up front, except for an initial deposit that will be refunded after the first week of curating. And you can then pull the delegated power at any time without them losing any money that they pre-paid. Seems like a much fairer system to me.

I already have two customers, but thanks for your input.

Who can lend me Steempower for % interest from the all further income of my account? I want to be Powerfull!
I dream to build a house with reward of a Steem!

Would 20k just be double the price for 10k or does it scale exponentially? If so, 20k or 30k would definitely be a good value.

Sounds good, I'm sure many will appreciate this!

@neoxian, sounds reasonable for 10k SP. This lending is awesome and in the future longer term lending will be possible for large purchase items. Steem on bank of @neoxian

Interesting idea

Ooh!!! yes
I want that sort of power but I cannot afford it. Mr @neoxian

Excellent product @neoxian. I will wait until the first stats arrive to see how profitable it could be, or at least has an idea of ROI. Regards.

I like the idea but I don't feel it would be worth it for me. The curve is too sharp on the voting power so it wouldn't give me enough power to make back the money in my opinion.

Don't think, just do. Steem power is amazing, you need it, you want it. Be wonderful.

Hahhaha, Love the response!
I had almost 10K Steem Power in the past and my vote wasn't worth anything.
I would have to purchase 500K Steem Power and then maybe there would be a better chance of making it back.

Steem Power is actually much more effective these days due to the experiment.

That is very true. I clearly wished I wouldn't have had to power down and sell that Steem at this point.
I'm mainly still gauging by situations where other people have upvoted me at 100% and I have seen what that upvote was worth in relation to their Steem Power holdings.
The main thing I think doing it would help me with is to be a bigger fish and get more recognition from other big fish. Then when they see me helping out with increased power they are more likely to help me out with an upvote. It is hard to calculate that return.
Also I will likely gather more followers during that time where I would have more power.

Just as a point of reference, I have about 20k Steem Power, and my full upvote is worth about $0.75 at the moment.

Thank you for that! It is good to have some reference.

Sounds like a deal to me, all of my funds are in steem power though. Not to for sure how to convert that quickly?.

Nice idea!

This is one good project from you, but I can not try it, because my account is still very weak.
Good job @neoxian

Wow wow wow. Great news.

I will first learn the rules you make, and how to return them

Bloody good idea. Nice to see some Whales or "Sharks" throw their weight around for the greater good.

Everyone needs sharks with "Lasers"...

@neoxian is there a smaller option for the little minnows?

yea the price would just scale downwards

Hey @neoxian, how do we go about this? I'd like to get some power behind a few of my blog posts that I've spent some time on.

contact me in Steemit chat if you are interested

Great idea.

Wow This is a very interesting neoxian idea ;)

Clever idea, indeed!

Nice

I don't know enough about benefits of having delegated power yet to know if it would be good, but the ratio seems to gain a lot of power if it were used effectively. Seems like something I should keep in mind, glad I found this post :)

Cool concept. I want to see the results that the first few test cases bring. Profiting from the experience or breaking even..

I'm wondering what could be done with this SP to pay back the price. Curation rewards? Voting power on one's own posts and comments? Making friends? How do I estimate the possible outcome? I am still learning, sorry if I am missing something.

Try to imagine growing to a size 600 times as big as you are now. You will become amazing.

Your posts are worth waiting. You always come up with different idea. 👍
I would like to rent your steempower when i get enough sbd. Steem on @neoxian

Hypothetically how would someone break even on 10k of SP for 65sbd?

The rates were based off of how much I make curating and some other factors..I'll just let the market decide if it's worth it. I have one customer already.

I'm not sure I'd be able to profit from it, your curation rewards are enhanced by the n2 algorithim, no?

And the added power would N^2 for you too.

If i bought all of your delegated power in one go that is. Not 10k splits :P

And n^2 is going away soon. With my voting bot it would certainly be worth it to get 10k or 20k for now, but once we have linear rewards that may change.

How soon do you think it'll go away?

I heard talk of soon - someone mentioned June 20.

This forms a great #steemgig! Hopefully we can get to a stage where we can avail of this to support several who post steemgigs but especially #steemgigs testimonial posts highlighting successful connections between "steemians in need" and "steemians indeed".

Then the uaer who rent the SP will have the right, full right to use it for his own benefit?

I will rent your steempower if i have enough sbd ..
This post is very interesting ..

I think this should be call
Loan n Rental for sub heading.

This is pretty great. Can't make a fiat investment right now but give me a little time to accumulate some SP, so I can start rewarding all those tasty vaporwave and internet aesthetic art posts.

i like this idea......so if i wanted 50k, how much would that be?

You can't have it. I'm already going to get 100K worth. Hahah Just kidding. It is an open market :-)

you got a trail following you?

Not really. There are a few people looking out for me here and there but for the most part I have never been able to get in the situation of knowing if I post something that it was automatically going to be worth my time. My stuff is too all over the place and I feel like a lot of the authors who have been put on auto votes and curration trails just pump out cookie cutter material. Like you know what they are going to post and it isn't going to make anyone mad or offend anyone. It would be cool if I could purchase 100K of power for a week so my vote was worth more than a penny and I could swim with the big fish. It is just a matter of if I will make the investment back though.

Pure genius on your part.
I'm not sure I could sit on so much SP as you do in order to fund this. I suppose you must be long term bullish on Steem.!!! Yet there is always risk...

I love that a new services are emerging in the Steemit community!

Very interesting. This would pair well with my voting bot. I'll contact you after the reward algos change in HF19 and let you know if I want it.

I'm interested, will be sending an inquiry for further details. Cheers

The laser shark caught me off guard. many ways to steem. wonder how does a delegation shows on account...

@neoxian thanks for the upvote the other day and great post really enjoyed it keep on steeming a head

It is interesting. Then the uaer who rent the SP will have the right, full right to use it for his own benefit? @neoxian

Yes, generally speaking, you'll be able to use the SP for your own benefit.

I love all these amazing services going on. $2 for a 1%-50% vote from randowhale, whaleshares and loans from you. Now you've even come up with a delegation service. - I think it's fantastic to see all these things recently and I hope we will see even more in the nearest future.

That being said, from one person who've never had 10K SP. I'm at ~1K and my vote is worth $0,01 - $0,02.. - I wouldn't say that your price is neither cheap or expensive as I can't really tell. I had about 4,5K SP a few months back but if I think about those days, I would never have been able to make any profit at all on something like this.. So I guess I'm just doing it wrong :D

Would you mind filling in the blanks for me?
How would you make a decent ROI on this?

Perhaps you or some of your customers could explain this in more detail. I'd love to be able to give back and pay it forward even further to all my readers and I'm already working on several projects, but if I could use something like this, then I might just be on to something really awesome. - Thank you!

This is a good question. Is it worth it? From a pure monetary perspective..maybe not. But it's not always about money! (yea yea, that's me Neoxian, saying this) By having that high voting power, you can gain followers and prestige. And plus, it's just fun, voting up your friends to the tune of 4 or 8 dollars or more.

What's the ROI of going on a roller coaster?

I love your answers, I really do! - It's not always about the money and I say the same thing, so it doesn't matter if you say it too. I wouldn't be "paying it forward" as much as I do if I thought about rewards for myself. - However, in this reply, I was talking about the ROI. The money.

I wouldn't use my SP to benefit my own posts, I'd use it to vote on my readers posts, to encourage them to continue publishing good content. - But that's also the reason I had to ask this question. - If it's worth it. - If I would be able to spread some love and motivate and encourage my readers on a daily basis with a decent amount of $, then it would definitely be worth it to me. And "decent amount" to me, would be literally anything higher than my own $0,1 or $0,2.

I would see this as a pure investment in myself, by using the power to invest in others. - That way, both me and the people I upvote would benefit in the long haul. - Thank you for your answer!

Edit: In all honesty: "anything higher than my own $0,1 or $0,2" is a bit understatement. But if I would be able to give around $1 or $2 for instance. That would've been awesome.

Hi. I'm new here so can you tell me what SBD is? 65 SBD for 10K??? as in $10,000?

SBD is Steem Based Dollars

10K would be in Steem Power, which is actually is worth more like 24000 ish lately. But it's just a delegation rental.

Thanks. So its a delegation rental? I have to pay it back? If I use the SBD, how could I pay it back?

No, I would delegate to you, and then I can withdraw it when the rental is over.

You pay 65 SBD and you'll get 10,000 Steem Power for 1 week. When the 7 days have passed you'll be back at your normal SP again, as the 10,000 SP will be taken away from you. This is a rental service.

@neoxian making the image of credit sharks great again!

Thanks for laying out the rules to power lending open like this. Makes it a fair tool because everybody can use it that way. I like the fine print as well, even if you lend power you are still partly responsible for it. Good thing you plan to keep an eye out for that!

just do it for free out of the kindness of your heart, im trying to spread good information, not make money

Are you serious? I'm supposed to lend out 20000 USD worth of Steem Power, 10000 SP ...for free? If you are so generous, why don't you do that?

And for the record, I have lent out smaller amounts of SP for free.

Please don't insult my intelligence.

Wow! It's great initiative!

Interesting post

Держите в курсе..))

Cool...
