I saw this picture in facebook and I could tell that this is happening in today's generation. I remember that there was also a short film posted by a facebook member about a boyfriend-girlfriend that just broke up because of the social media. His girlfriend was so busy taking pictures with him and whatsoever and posted it but after all didn't interact or communicate.

Today's generation is too far from yesterday's generation. I am not blaming the people behind the launched of gadgets such as cellphones: social medias like facebook, intagram and etc. because these play a big role in our society. I never say not to post pictures too with your family, friends, and girlfriend nor boyfriend. All I want to imply is we have to value the true power of communication. We have to limit the use of social medias when you are with your loved ones and just do the posting thing when you are all alone. By that we are not being misunderstood and outdistanced.

Sort:

A really really sad reality, wherein teenagers just let their Mom work all day long and all they do is chat and text. Hayssss, what a world we are living 😤

Time is precious. We only appreciate them when they are already gone 😭😭

Yes. We should give them time as long as they live. We could focus on social media thing when we are free not when they were around.

a sad reality

Yeah. I was awakened with that picture too.

10 years ago was 2008 and we were busy working on the CVS/Caremark project. I thought we would continue to do healthcare projects. Today we have diversified our healthcare offerings more broadly than ever and G3i Ventures is now supporting a dozen new healthcare projects. Well beyond anything we ever invisioned.

May your projects be totally successful.

Got the point @roemmamazing. This is the new generation for now. So sad but it is also helpful!

New technologies and ideas were great but when using it improperly it could destroy many people.

Well said........
You are truly on point... Discipline matters.

Yes. It really exist in todays new generation :)

Yes. Even to ourselves. We cannot deny on that.

Yes. Even to ourselves. We cannot deny on that.

That is what civilization has brought to our culture.. I don't say is good or bad, but all I know is that things are changing every seconds..

Even though things are changing we must still preserve our traditions we learned from yesterday's generation. :)

Lack of communication ruins everything..slowly but surely...

I won’t say you are correct. This criticism has to be cause it’s a SMART WORLD. Yes it is. Whatever we do attracts comment.

Oh you don’t USE GADGETS, you’re stale.

Oh you use gadgets too much you’re indisciplined.

Maybe some people are just too addicted maybe there’s a reason to be addicted. What can we do, you can only caution a few. The rest will still be stuck to their phones as glue.

I may be stale but I am just using this term for my readers to understand directly. But still I'm thanking you.

Well, to say that this is a sad reality today, the today's generation cultural value has so much degraded or so to say has no value again. But i must tell you don't try this in an african parents home or to be specific, a Nigerian home, because, you will regret it. The youths of this days need to change, we spend too much time on screen and leave our parents to do the chores, God is against that, as youths, we should change.

Yes. Let us spread this so that yesterdays generation's traditions will be preserved.

It's so sad, but it is reality.
