According to the FRSC, the roles and responsibility of the Road Safety Club (RSC) include the following;

Controlling traffic on the highways.
Organizing Quiz and Debates on Road Safety-related issues among schools.

The Federal Road Safety Commission was created in February 1988 by the Federal Government of Nigeria by Decree No. 45 of 1988, as amended by Decree No. 35 of 1992. It was later passed by the National Assembly as the Federal Road Safety Commission Establishment Act 2007.
