Hello
So I have been thinking about @steemmonsters . And I find theyr game and cards really amazing !
I have gotten a little into myself, but I don't have too much extra money to spend on these packs.
But to get into the topic.
Why I think that Steemmonsters cards can be used as a currency
Because like with any cryptocurrency what actually gives crypto it's value is that people accept it as money and when more people own the crypto and they trade more with the crypto, it gives crypto it's value.
With these cards it's the same.
Currenctly there are MANY MANY people who own steemmonsters cards and people trade with these cards and sell them.
Most of the trading with steemmonsters cards goes on in theyr official discord group
People open packs for 2$ a pack and get 5 cards from there.
Rn when writing this post the cards are worth so much ->
Any common card is 0.05 STEEM
Any rare card is 0.25 STEEM
Any epic card is 0.5 STEEM
Any legendary is 12 STEEM
Any dragon is 15 STEEM
And Selenia sky is being sold for 18 STEEM as I see on the discord group right now (prices may vary).
And if more people get into steemmonsters, and if there will be more cards added.
I see a potential of these Steemmonsters cards becoming an actual currency that people can use to buy crypto with. (mostly STEEM and SBD).
So for everyone who thinks these cards are worthless.
Then please, be reasonable

Interesting idea. The market value can only truly be considered by sales in the market. Where have the cards sold? How much did they sell for? What type specifically was sold? I think in order for your suggestion to happen there would need to be comparable interest to offer the price points selected. Than the consideration may make more sense when debating the value of the cards.
Technically, yes, they are. They are Non-fungible tokens.
