I am in the same boat as you. I have no idea how to play these type of games but I jumped on board anyways.
I was lucky enough to hit a gold foil legendary in the one and only booster pack I have bought.

I saw that in Discord @rentmoney. I alas did not. As @trisquelwhare explained, my legendary was gold coloured but is actually white. So near and yet so far. 😂 😂 😂
