I keep seeing steem monsters this and steem monsters that... yet, I know nothing about it... it looks like magic the gathering meets crypto kitties but like that is just me guessing based on the pictures and headlines that I've seen, hahaha... any good resources to learn exactly what this is? I haven't looked into it much because the last thing I need is another addiction or money sink in my life. Can I participate without spending any money? Thanks, and following.

Haha it is addictive and I think alot of steemians are playing it for a reason. There are tournaments coming up with prize money every day so its very attractive to people who loves to game or try something new.
