I'm kinda with you! That is the best way I learn sometimes but they do say it is a strategy based. :-)

In strategy games I agree that learning as you go isn't the best method but I tend to learn things the hard way sometimes :) I learned online poker the same way....learning as I go .... It cost me a good penny before I finally started winning.
