Excited to announce eSteem v1.1.6 updates, that is published today. After iOS v1.0.0 release, I have pushed next batch of updates for iOS Appstore Review. Worked on AppStore screenshots as well so it is more attractive to new users.

With users request, Bookmarking feature has been added, where you can save post for later read. It is super easy, you just open any post you want and bookmark it from top right corner. Remove bookmarking can be done from same page or menu has Bookmarks page where you can open post or swipe left to remove it from Bookmarks.

Future plans
Moving forward, focus will be to increase user base of the Steem platform as a whole. Enabling users to signup through app. Improvement on customized/personalized view and feel. Ability to make quick posts, promote content, give ability to cashout earned funds through @blocktrades or similar services, multiple language support, private messaging, support for WindowsPhone users, many more ideas.

@good-karma: been getting this error when trying to update within the ios store. tried closing the existing instance running and restarting to the same result. will update if possible

Please try again, I just received approval from AppStore for new version! How Exciting... Try perhaps uninstall and reinstall to see if anything changes... Restart might fix the issue...
Here are a few things that you can try that sometimes can help get the connection to the App Store working again.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date one year ahead. Try to download or update the apps again. If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try to download or update the apps again.
Or .... Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Or .... Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try again.

Android has ability to comment and make new posts. iOS version 1.1.5 was sent out for review and should be available soon after review is done by Apple, current iOS version 1.0.0 doesn't have ability to comment.

I think if you have already downloaded v1.0.0, whenever new version is available you should be notified by AppStore about update. I am hoping it won't take long, as I am testing push notifications on iOS to push next update.
No, haven't installed 1.0 yet, will wait for the release of 1.1.5.

Will download and start using it! Please let me know if anybody need people to help test steemit apps. This can be a service that users can help be testting and giving feedback to developers. Currently working on something in this areas.

Hi @good-karma, first of all, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the work you've put into developing this app. I am a heavy user of my mobile phone, and pretty much do most of my activities on Steemit through mobile.
Can I please request you look into the following for future app updates? I am vision impaired and use a feature called VoiceOver (a screen reader) on iPhone to navigate content. It would be really appreciated if you could improve the accessibility and labeling of the app so that it works better with VoiceOver. This would mean a world of difference for me, as currently many of the buttons are not labelled, and is not very accessible for the vision impaired. There is some occasions where app needs active or owner private key. And easier and convenient way for ordinary non-crypto user is to just use one password. App allows one to transfer fund and follow/unfollow, update account profile picture and many more features to come and I think keeping it simple with asking one password looks more feasible right now. I would like to know your opinion about it though, What are your thoughts? Password is always kept locally and it never sent to any third party servers. Transactions are created locally and signed locally and then broadcasted.

I have never registered here on Steemit.com.
From the web interface I use my username and posting private key to login.
This doesn't happen from your app. Can't login.
