STEEMJET WRITERS
Greetings @dimimp, I am @xinese of space force seven and I came up with this amazing idea for the steemjet community.
Seeing that we are a community of artists, it will be good to have a writer’s community for those who understand the purpose of the steemjet community and the best way to tell the story about the aim of the steemjet community.
The purpose of this steemjetwriters contest is to ensure that the community becomes well vast and grounded in what the steemjet motive is about, that is, “Crypto Global Distribution”.
So as announced by our boss @dimimp, we have decided to take a new direction that can help us focus.
While the steemjetwriters account is pending approval, we have decided to go ahead and write the first story about Crypto Adoption.
The story centers around a young boy who decides to venture into the Crypto world after hearing about it.
I came up with the idea for the story and the story was put into words by myself and @earthangel. I hope the story will be good enough for the steemjetmoviestars to make a wonderful screenplay about it.
THE CRYPTO ENCOUNTER
Kola sneezed and rolled out of bed.
It was going to be cold day but that couldn’t stop his hustle. He looked at his elder brother sleeping on the bed. He couldn’t keep staying her and leeching off him. Even though the brother told him not to worry and was all smiles, he knew it must be a strain on him.
He put on his clothes and stepped out. Rain had started drizzling but he didn’t even notice. You see Kola is the last child of five children in his family. His mother is a civil servant while the father is a business man and he was lucky enough that his parents valued education and sent him to school. But in third year of university, his father’s business suffered a tremendous loss and his mother became the main bread winner, things got a little harder but he was able to put himself through school by doing petty jobs. He finally graduated with high hopes but alas, he could not get a job due to corruption in the system, lack of connections or maybe just plain bad luck.
That morning, Kola was so deep in thought that he didn’t notice that the drizzle had turned to light rainfall or the people running past him to take shelter from the rain. He also didn’t notice the car speeding by until he was drenched in mud water.
“Ah ah” he screamed.
The car slowed down and reversed. Someone peeked out.
“Sorry bro” the person said.
“sorry for yourself” Kola muttered under his breath.
He took a closer look at the person and got the shock of his life……okay maybe not the shock of his life but pretty close to it.
“Dolapo…. Dolaposky, is that you”
Recognition dawned on Dolapo face and he let out a shout.
“Kola, Kola the efiko, is that really you?”
Dolapo parked his car and they spent a long time talking about their past school lives and catching up.
“But you have made it oh. We were hustling together in school, but now you look all fresh and even have a car. Show me the way na”
Dolapo smiled sheepishly “My brother, its cryptocurrency oh. Since I started buying and selling and mining I’ve gotten money and here I am now”
Kola was excited. Could this be the answer to all his troubles? Dolapo told him of how he made loads of money from it in two months and promised to tell him more over WhatsApp and show him the way before they parted ways.
As Kola walked home, he felt lighter. This was like the light at the end of the cold dark tunnel. He was about to enter the apartment when he noticed a pair of shoes in front of the next apartment. He excitedly went to tell his neighbor Japheth about his encounter and the whole crypto business.
After listening attentively Japheth laughed out loud. Kola mood immediately dampened. Why was this guy laughing at him like Kola had just walked into a gutter while looking at the beautiful girl who lived around….by the way that had really happened and he had been the laughing stock in the apartment building for a week.
Japheth finally calmed down and wiped a tear from his face.
“This Dolapo you are talking of. I know him, he gets his money through illegal means. You could call him a G boy. Crypto isn’t a Ponzi or get rich quick scheme. So, don’t expect to just start and make loads of money. You have to lean several things and study the market. Some get lucky and make it big almost immediately while most don’t but we profit from it nonetheless. So, are you ready to learn and be patient and willing to put in the work?”
Dolapo sobered up a little and nodded. Nothing comes easy after all but he was ready to make it work
He began to take online classes about trading cryptocurrencies, he learnt how to observe the market, when to hold and when to sell. he also became well informed in various cryptocurrency and was able to select the ones with the best potential to rise so as to trade them properly.
Since he lacked enough capital, He joined an amazing community on a crypto-based social media platform, called the SteemJet community and was provided with a capital by the leader of the community who inspired him to preach about Cryptocurrencies to the world.
Three months later, Kola had moved out of his brother’s house and rented a small flat. He was actively involved in going to different conferences and meet-ups preaching the benefits of the cryptocurrencies. He was happy with himself, at peace with the world around him, a couple of months ago he was broke and without vision but he had gotten a direction and a mentor that helped him towards the path he was destined for.
The End.
