I watched a lizard trying to scale a wall, a very high wall indeed. He looked down and up then down again maybe trying to weigh and measure the height of the wall from the ground. He would run along the length of the wall just to see if there was any place he could take and avoid jumping down such great height but found none. Then he decided to make the jump and with last breath swallowed he made the jump, closing his eyes to avoid seeing what would become of his body. But luckily for him and quite opposite to what he taught, he made it to the ground and even got up racing after another lizard.
That is doggedness - not refusing to quite. Most times we are confronted with walls as high as the one this poor lizard faced and we would sometimes want to seek out an easy way. Good for those who find one but to those who, like the lizard, find none the only way out is to jump. Fear can oppose your success. once you can close your eyes like the lizard and jump you would realize how better it was to jump than remained on the wall. You may feel minor pains when you land but once you focus again on where you were actually headed such pains can only but be remembered. SHOW YOUR DOGGEDNESS
