Gold? I don't have to say I'm sure you know. The value of gold hasn't climbed since around 2010, no doubt gold has held it's value and helped saved the investor's cash but it hasn't multiplied it by any bit.
Every coin that was available by 2010 has grown nothing less than 1000 times it's original value and this is just 2018. All we need now is the right coin to buy, coins backed by innovative blockchains that not only retain value but multiply it.

What makes cryptocurrency looks scammy is the number of fake coins, more pump and dump coins on the charts now and people easily get fooled.
As you pointed out Bitcoin is King, many may argue that the blockchain is flawed, out of proportion charges and slow transaction, but Bitcoin has stood the test of time. It works, it is the reason cryptocurrency is what it is today. If any coin wants to be the King it must satisfy this conditions.

I will have to start by saying a big thanks to @dimimp for his loyalty to steem.
Paper currency is always trying to take over the network effect established by gold and silver over generations because of some cryptocurrecy in the market, and now that bittrax is trying to remove 40 valueless crypotocurrency on their platform , all user of this crytocurrency have been warned to withdraw their coin from their wallet before the end of this month (match) . A big thanks to bittrax for that innovations to save other cryptocurrency from paper currency.
The fact that these new cryptocurrencies are less volatile price-wise compared to other currency markets should not cloud our view of the overall structure of utility of other currency and this is why will have bitcoin killers who invest more in bitcoin which make bitcoin to be on far ahead of other currency in the world.
The blockchain disinter-mediation process will bring the disintermediation of more complex investors to invest more in it, if it can be possible to only have gold and silver alone in the market which are bitcoin and etherium , the crypto currency will have beat the paper currency hands down, now that people like @dimimp are really ready to invest more in steem, i can see that the crypto is have a brighter future .

Now if we are to look at the future potential of Steem in the cryptocurrency market, you'll agree with me that Steem stand a very high chance of being the silver currency. The value of a coin depends on the size of the network which is the number of people owning owning/investing in it. Steem has the fastest transaction time, and are working quite hard to launch the SMT which will put more business on the Steem blockchain thereby increasing its network size.
@lordjames I sure believe the "Fastest Transaction Time" feature of steem is going to be one of the main reasons why steem will be the silver coin.
This is the century of fast everything. Fast cars, fast jet, even fast food. Therefore speed is a very important factor in the success and adoption of anything today. Speed alone will not make Steem stand out but it is sure one of the factors that will be important when investors are making decisions to adopt it or not.

2 weeks ago all I had was an outline, now nearly half of the course has come into focus (the easy half). But still.

Don't know if you've seen this yet, but @tudors created a Twitter account for steemJet (Steem_Jet) to grant us access to a new audience
And I caught the vision and created an Instagram account (SteemJet), would you like me to send the access over to you or I can just copy the posts you make and paste them there just like the ongoing search for our star girl's name. The younger generation spend a lot of time on these platforms.

Looking at @mbj work some days ago and discovered that he is really doing a great work but the steem system has failed to recognize a talent like him but am glad that with steemjet he will make great waves.
