Goodbye to courtesy: Day 32 of 100 Days of Poetry Challenge

Goodbye to courtesy

Good-bye to courtesy
To tenderness and respect:
Goodbye to finesse,
To the gentlemanly, how old fashioned,
And grins, so cumbersome!

Welcome to wildlife,
Children weaned on cow's breasts,
Growing up more like beasts
Wildlife in jungle cities
Mistakenly called metropolis.

Values, pining
Morals declining
Ethics reclining
Controls, descending
Our heritage, polluted.

Three happy cheers
To moral decadence
As we wave goodbye to courtesy
Hip!! Hip!!! Hip!!
DISMAY!!!!!

Lol. Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you liked it.
Hip hip hip! Dismay!! - that was just a way of ironically celebrating(degrading) the loss of courtesy in the modern world . Especially in the African community.

Haha I find this kind of funny ( sad and true, but funny)
