I think that, if I could add to this, have stuff that encourages people to stick it out in the long-haul. Teaching about hard work, and that maybe for a few months they will get no where, are great things that may help people keep making content for even just a few more weeks. Teach them to focus on the little things, like earning their first whole Steem token.
