steemitphotochallenge #8 - entry 3 - long exposure portrait

This image was taken on a 5x4" plate camera with studio flash and long exposure using modelling lights. no cropping.

This is not a recent image but is a good example of long exposure. It took some planning as it is not possible to look through the camera when the film is loaded. The 5x4" film is loaded into a dark slide and then fits over the back of the camera, therefore obstruction the viewfinder.
I had to pre-compose the image and know at all times where the model was in relation to the film frame, even though the model was moving all the time during the exposure.
everthing had to work correctly as 5x4" film is expensive and time consuming and you dont get to see whether its worked until you process it. by that time the model has gone home.

I re-photographed this image on a light box to show you that it is infact 5x4" film and the image is all framed in camera and not cropped.

i cant remember the exact time exposure on this 1 (i cant find my notes lol), i think it was between 1 and 3 seconds
