BUTTERLY vs ME
I know that everybody loves a beautiful and colorful butterfly. A butterfly that adds color and beautiful scene to our flowering plants everytime they keeps on roaming in our garden. We are all attracted by their different colors and different sizes.
But in my case, a butterfly took the colors of my life. I am a woman who has a beautiful plans in my life, but with this butterfly that came into my life ruins my beautiful plans. A butterfly that supposed to be a symbol of colorful and beautiful scene in my life, but unfortunately this butterfly ruins my life.
Let me explain why?
A butterfly came into my life, a butterfly that took away all my dreams, a butterfly that made me cry a lot, a butterfly that made me hate my life, a butterfly that made me think that life is no longer colorful for me.
This kind of butterfly came to me year 2007, a butterfly rash
WHAT IS BUTTERFLY RASH?
It is called the lupus butterfly rash because of its butterfly-like shape and is typical in those suffering from LUPUS
WHAT IS LUPUS
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune condition in which the immune system attacks the body’s own healthy tissue and organs. Depending on the specific patient, lupus can cause high levels of persistent inflammation that can negatively affect various parts of the body. Lupus patients often experience tissue damage that affects the heart, joints, brain, kidneys, lungs and endocrine glands (such as the adrenals and thyroid gland). Although it’s not completely known why this happens, lupus risk factors are believed to include:
👉Genetic susceptibility, having a family history of lupus or other autoimmune disease symptoms
👉Being a woman (90 percent of all lupus patients are women)
Being between the ages of 15–45, women in this age range are by far the most likely to develop lupus
👉Being of African-American, Asian or Native American decent, these ethnicities develop lupus two to three times more often than caucasians
👉Eating a poor diet and having nutrient deficiencies
👉Leaky gut syndrome
👉Food allergies and sensitivities
👉Toxicity exposure
HOW TO PREVENT LUPUS
There is no known way to prevent Lupus since there is no known cause as yet. You can help manage flare-ups though: Avoid known triggers such as sunlight, stress, and lack of sleep.
Here some famous celebrity who also diagnosed with LUPUS.
One of our President in the Republic of the Philippines died with Lupus. Pres. Ferdinand Marcos
For now everytime I see a butterfly roaming in our garden, I still appreciate them as a beautiful creatures, eventhough they symbolizes my Lupus.
I may be unlucky to have this Lupus in my life but eventually, I still appreciate the life that I have now, I am still blessed, I have a very smart son, a wonderful family that supports me and makes me happy.
They are the source of my strength and my happiness.
I am now 11 years battling Lupus
and I realized that I am a Lupus Warrior, I fight an ugly war inside my body every single day. I may not win this battle, but I will not go down without a Fight
