One step closer - surgery case

One of the requirements in our last semestral in school is to perform 2 surgery cases. These are special case and tooth extraction of impacted 3rd molars. Last week I just finish my special case which is operculectomy. The case was only a minor surgery which took us 10-15 minutes only. I'm very thankful to my clinical instructor for supporting me during the entire procedure.

And to my sweet and caring classmate for assisting me too. Without their assistance the procedure will not run smoothly.

I took a picture of my armamentarium or materials needed in the procedure. It looks scary to see these things on the part of the patient but on my view they are toys for me already.

I used a special bur or tip (ceramic precision tissue trimmer) that was never been used in school. That's why my instructor was amazed of it because it made the procedure faster and bloodless.

I still have one case to be done next week which is the extraction of impacted 3rd molar. Hope everthing will be done perfectly too.
