That's not wrong. But if the students are too passive, it can hamper their development. At the next education level, they will not get used to being active in the classroom.

Or being coerced into participation in things they find utterly abhorrent can stunt their ability to learn healthy social skills. That blade cuts both ways. The education model must fit the student, not vice-versa.
