It's important to plan for anything.

Is there anything more important than proper planning?

Well, sure there is. However, proper planning is something that shouldn't be forgotten.

You never know what's going to crop up.

It's important to always be prepared.

Today I noticed that it was garbage day.

I knew that the garbage man would be coming, but when I left the house this morning our large garbage can was not anywhere to be seen.

I had two large bags of trash that I placed in a position where the large garbage can normally goes. I was assuming that the garbage man would pick these bags of trash up.

When I came home from work the large bags of trash were still sitting there though. I then noticed that the large garbage can was against the side of the house by the garage.

So I picked up these two bags and I put them next to the garbage can so that I could pick them up later and put them inside the can. However, once I started getting involved with my next project I noticed that it was raining hard.

So now it's raining hard and there are two plastic bags of trash outside getting thoroughly soaking wet. I did not plan properly. I did not consider that it might rain.

This is just a minor example though. However, this proper planning procedure should be applied to pretty much everything that you do.

You will often find yourself in a situation where not really planning could cost you significant money. It might be because you didn't edit an article properly. It might be because you didn't deal with your neighbor correctly, It could be just about anything.

You never know when proper planning is going to come into play. Proper planning is one of the most important things that we need to do as we go through life.

Did you write this or my roomate? 😂😂

I learnt alot from this. It's educative. Thanks.

This is true,we need proper planning for good success.

Your story just reminded me of an experience I had yesterday. I got up in the morning, put everything in place, packed my bags, books and pen and left for school.
When I arrived my lecture venue,I brought out my notebook to take some notes.
I pulled off the pen cover and started writing.
After about a paragraph, the pen stopped writing.
I checked my bag and there was no spare pen.
I was left with no choice than to borrow from q friend.
If I had planned properly and got a spare pen, I wouldn't have been stranded.
I was concerned about carrying a pen but I never considered if it could stop writing.

Failure to plan well is planning to fail well.
The idea is not just about planning, but planning well.
This is a good post @silverwhale.

True...proper planning is best for good result. I have had situations when my lack of proper planning put me in a little trouble.
