Sitting on my rock I am thinking, when we teach children art or woodwork, we sort of make plain things.
After searching on the internet for a specific video, I came upon these fantastic you tube videos of the most remarkable people that make art from wood.
As teachers, we do not really know how to do these things but, we sometimes have children who are very artistic.
Normally the parents or grandparents may also be.
Why do we not sometimes think that if these children are taught to do this fantastic woodwork, they will really have work for ever?
We are so inclined to sometimes struggle to let children decide what to do with their lives.
To me this was just incredible that it is possible for any human being having such wonderful talents.
God gives every person on earth a special ability but these people are even better than can be imagined.
So we are for ever trying to figure out what our child’s talents are, but clearly these people know what to do, as it is a wonderful feeling to make something with your hands and then realise that this incredible piece of wood had developed into something so beautiful.
We send children for tests and lately most of them go into computer or something technical.
Hopefully we will not lose artists like these as it is such a wonderful gift.
So parents make sure that whatever subject your child take at school, is the right one for what he or she wants to do in the next years.
I personally was stunned to see these wonderful wooden trees form into these unbelievable creatures.
These people must realise how lucky they are, they should never get depressed or sad, as when you can do something like that it must make you feel wonderful.

I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did and may you have a wonderful day.

Thank you, I did not know just an old man. Still learning and trying.
This post reminds me of Kahlil Gibran.
He has written- "Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable."
Awesome reply thank you.
it should ALWAYS be about the child/teen/individual being, deciding for themselves. Our job as parents/teachers is to just show them all the varieties of experiences that life has to offer.... then let them go and figure it out for themselves

Those are very creative jobs, someone can't just afford to make mistake when doing it. Love the craving it is nice. Turning a tree log into a work of art is a thing of awesomeness. Love the video,
You are absolutely correct, we should let children decided for themselves and this goes to the parent, guarding and even government agency. Nice write up and good expression.
