The only problem I see, at least in the country where I live, is that two teachers require twice the amount of money. And it is very unlikely the state will go in that direction, although I must admit that the experience might be super interesting.

It actually ends up being fairly cost neutral. When there is co teaching, it means fewer sections of self-contained classes. The teacher that would be in that room is now in a general education classroom. Also it might mean that a teacher assistant is no longer required which also saves money. But you are correct sometimes it is a bit more expensive.
