Super interesting post!
I think this is part of why I'm noticing increasing levels of anxiety in my students. They can't just go to school and get good marks. They have to go to school, get good marks, volunteer, play an instrument or a sport, speak another language, and it wouldn't hurt to have an interesting backstory to use for their personal statement to get into university. All of this while balancing a social life that is way more complicated than what I remember, thanks to social media.
Man, when I was a kid it seemed to be a bit easier!

I know! I was joining all the other activities to get out of class..haha.. But I think kids are more mature than we give them credit for, they find exam to be a pointless cause when compared to doing something great for the community.
