Sadly this virus is still being spread regularly, but with the new drugs the virus can remain almost not detectable in the body with a low to no transmission rate then. If infected people would properly take their medications then perhaps the numbers would decrease.

Yeah I concur with you. But instead of medicine after infection, it's better to be careful as much as possible, so we won't contact the virus.
Most times, prevention is better than cure.
This is the reason for this awareness.
