Hello friends, welcome to this small space where I will share with you some of my creativity, which can be shared with our children or practiced at home.

A companion asked me to make a didactic game called serial number worm.

This game serves to teach children the series of 2 in mathematics, in this way they will learn to identify the numbers in written form. It can be used from children of 5 years.

Materials:

  • Wooden board or 1 x 1 meter square carton
  • Cold sylicon
  • Foamy or EVA Foam of various colors.
  • Cold paints
  • Scissors
  • Fine tip black marker

1

Let's add a little to our wood so that our surface is completely smooth and our paint is uniform.

2

We draw our worm using a circular mold, we can not forget its legs, eyes and antennae.

3

We paint the bottom of the wood, using a soft color to highlight the colors of the worm.

4

We began to paint our worm with funny colors, in this way it will be more striking in view of the children.

5

While the paint dries, we make the series of numbers 2 by 2 in the foami, up to number 22.

6

We paste the numbers with silicone with silicone: 2-4-10-14-16-22

7

Using the same circular mold to draw our worm, we cut circles of colored foami, and paste the rest of the numbers in the numerical series.

8

We highlight our worm using a fine black point marker, and go through the edges, adding some details.

Finished our process

My friend was very happy with the work she did for her classroom.

Activities with the numerical worm:

  1. Using the hot potato game, according to the children who are losing, they will be asked to come to the table where the numbers will be placed in a disorderly manner. They must order and paste according to their own knowledge in the body of the worm.
  2. They will be given the drawing of a worm in white sheets and a numerical strip of the numbers, so that they can be individually located in the right place.
