Discovering computers for Grade1 Opening programs

After this lesson, I should be able to:    

Open a program by double-clicking on the program's icon  

Minimize, Maximize and close a program    

1.  Opening a program     

You open a program to work with it, for example MS Paint.  

To open a program on my computer you move the mouse pointer  source over its icon on the desktop.

2.  Minimize, Maximize and Close    

When a program window opens you will see it appear in front of you    

In the top-right corner of the program window, there are 3 important buttons.

The minimize button

The minimize button hides the window  

The window is not closed; it is just hiding in the task bar below.  

You can open the window again by clicking on the icon in the task bar.   

The maximize button   source

The maximize button make the window big as the whole computer screen    

When the window is maximized the maximize button changes into another button called Restore    

The restore button; source

You click the restore button to return the window to its original size.    

The close button; source

You click the Close button to close the window. 

When you clicked this icon the program is closed and is no longer there. 

To open the program again, double click on its icon on the desktop as we have done when we started to open the program Click here to see more.

When i was in grade 1, i haven't know about computers even dnt know what is computer program.I came to know about it when my dad bought the computer for us when i was in class 5.then i came to know what is computer program.Anyways it is a nice post for a computer newbie.

I agree @faizrasoolmirza, but it seems that our children is doing alot of thing we leant in higher grades in lower grades these days. I mean when we went to school, we only learnt to write our names, today they need to write their names before they can go to grade1, and know the alphabets.
