Excellent post! So many people need to read this. Another sign to watch for is an extreme change in habits (eating, bathing, etc) without a reasonable explanation. Talking with our children honestly about predators is the best way to prepare them. Too often, parents shy away from giving anything more than the "bathing suit" talk. It is difficult to discuss how they could be abused by a trusted loved one. The fact that many abusers can be charming is not brought up enough. These monsters are intelligent and blend into society well. Although It feels awful to have to talk with our children about such evil, it is a necessity. Educating our children in these matters is how we protect them. Keeping them in the dark regarding abuse puts them in danger.
