Today's experiment is the fire tornado! Unlike the other experiments this one might require a bit more time but it definitely is still quick and interesting to see! If you want to know more about this experiment, keep scrolling down!

What you'll need:

  • Wire mesh
  • Lighter fluid
  • Rotating tray
  • Sponge
  • Super glue or stapler
  • Bowl ( one that can handle fire

What to do:

  1. The first thing you'll need to do is roll the wire mesh into a shape of a cylinder and connect the two ends with either super glue or staple it in place. We need the wire mesh in order to create a whirlwind
  2. Now place the rolled up wire mesh onto the center of the rotating tray so that it doesn't fall off when you rotate the tray.
  3. Place the bowl in the center of the wire mesh and place torn up sponge pieces into the bowl.
  4. Add some lighter fluid into the bowl.
  5. When you're ready, lift up the wire mesh so that you can set the sponge pieces on fire and spin the tray!
  6. Now enjoy looking at the fire tornado!!
