SUNDAY WITH THE FAMILY

Luan and Jared met at church the next day, and they were happy to see each other.

They were really very good friends, and that should be kept for a lifetime if possible.

Having a good friend, can make your life so much nicer as there is someone you trust and you can talk to, yet both these boys had wonderful parents, who they can also tell anything, and they will listen.

Listening to what children have to say is just as important as feeding them.

We must always listen and look for something that they might want to say and do not know how.

As a parent you know your child so well and will always know if something is wrong is you really listen to them.

Today I think we must phone Jared’s father and ask them to come and have lunch with us, as it is Sunday and I know they cannot cook very well Luan’s mother laughed.

That will be so nice then Jared and I can play with the twins and maybe go to the forest for a little while.

Jared’s father said, thank you it will be very nice I have only seen the twins once and I would love to see them again.

Luan’s mother did not go to church that day, as she was making a lovely lunch, and looking after Simon and Amelia.

She had really made a wonderful Sunday lunch for all. Luan had gone to church with his father and when they got back the smell was incredible.

When Jared and his father arrived they were so pleased to see the twins, and could not help thinking that they were going to have a wonderful meal as the house was smelling unbelievable with everything Luan’s mother had made.

Luan’s father thanked Jared’s father for making the boxes with them for their medals, and said they are really doing things the right way as they are learning hard, and are very good friends.

Jared’s father said, you have all been so good to us there is no way that we can thank you.

Jared saw a meal your wife made the other night and he came and taught me to make the same. It was so delicious.

I have never had time to learn to really cook and your wife is really helping me, by teaching Jared some recipes.

I think she is teaching him easy stuff to make as she realises we mostly buy from a take away, and that is not good for us at all.

Luan’s mother said I will start writing some recipes down for you and you can try them with Jared as it is very easy to cook.

That is a wonderful idea Jared said, we will have a lot of fun in the kitchen together.

Luan said he will also like that as he would like to help his mother a little more and one day he might marry a wife who cannot cook, and then he will teach her as well.

Everyone laughed and said it is luckily still a long time away.

Yes my darling child, we must still do a lot together before you are old enough to leave home, and that will be very hard for me.

Tomorrow I will get a book for you said Jared’s father and you can write the recipes in there for me. I think maybe the boys and I can make you a book as we are now getting good at this making of things.

Oh that will be so nice said the boys we would love to make a book and a nice one that will last for a long time.
