Doing school project.

Jared’s father had to leave as he had a long road in front of him, but he was feeling very good. 

He knew his son would love the weekend and he felt relaxed, thinking how he could now get more time with him when he takes the new work that was offered to him. 

He told Jared to be a good boy like he knew he was, and he would pick him up on Sunday when he gets back. 

He hugged him and said our lives are really going to change you will see, as Luan’s father has offered me the job of a lifetime. Really! that is wonderful so I will see more of you. 

Yes my son, ask Luan’s father to tell you all about it as I have to leave now. Luan and Jared listened and they were both happy for Jared as it would mean that he could also go to the forest with Jared and they can really become friends. 

They went up to Luan’s room and started working on their project. They decided it would be the best one in the class.

Luan’s mother called them and said, I think we must go and get a nice book and some glue and tinsel for you guys to make your project, so jump in the car and we will go and find what you need. 

Oh this is so nice to have a friend said Luan, I always go alone Jared, and guess what, we are going to have a baby and you will enjoy the baby just as much as we will.

They stopped at the stationary shop and started digging around for what they needed. 

Jared was still a little shy as Luan’s mother was new to him, but she quickly made him feel like he was part of the family. 

They bought a wonderful big book, glue glitter and many other things to write with so that everything was very neat.

Mother our teacher said we are not supposed to get help from our parents, but I do not think she meant these things as we had to have something to start with.

 After paying for all their lovely stuff, she took them for a waffle and then they went home.

Luan’s father had been playing golf and had just arrived nearly the same time they did. Oh look at all our wonderful things we are going to use for our holiday project, mother took us shopping.  

I can see as you still have evidence of a waffle on the corner of your mouth his father laughed. They then took everything to the study where they were going to work, but first Luan wanted to go and show Jared the forest and the monkeys who were very funny. 

We must take some bananas as well you won’t believe how they grab them and run away. His mother said do not stay away to long as it is nearly dinner time and you two must come and lay the table for me. She had decided to treat Jared just like her own and Luan was so pleased. 

Luan said the house you are moving to is just a short distance from here so we can spend a lot of time together here in the forest, that is if you like it as much as I do.

When Jared saw the forest for the first time he said it looks like the most beautiful place he had ever seen and he was sure he would love it just as much as Luan. 

They both had bananas, and Luan said you have to scatter them, otherwise the big ones take them all and the babies get nothing. 

I found that out to late, and I will show you the picture I took of that silly monkey. They started scattering the bananas and went to sit on a blanket next to the river watching them.

Jared nearly laughed his head off at these funny little monkeys, and said it is so wonderful here, now I know why I always liked you. I also love animals, but at school you have so many friends I never wanted to bother you. 

That is silly Jared the more friends we are the nicer it becomes. But now we are friends and we will have some wonderful times here together. 

It started getting dark and they went home to lay the table for Luan’s mother.

 Jared was watching everything Luan did as he grew up with a man in the house and there were things that Luan could do because of his mother that Jared knew nothing about. 

After finishing, they went and put all their stuff together to start their project the next morning. Luan’s mother called them and said it is time to eat. 

They washed their faces and hands and went down stairs. Jared sat next to Luan and they held hands to thank the Lord for the food and then they started talking about everything that was happening.

 After dinner Luan and Jared cleaned up and put all the stuff into the dishwasher. His mother switched it on and said ok guys you can now go and have a bath and put your pyjamas on before I will come and read to you.
