RE: The Effects of Text Language On English Writing

Guilty as charged! I agree with @kchitrah and @tristanchase. I also realise when it comes to literacy and writing, a lot of it comes from how it's being nurtured and encouraged at home. Before mobile phones were deem almost a necessity, people read a lot. At least, that was the case in my home. Back in my days my parents would be seen reading the papers for hours, and that naturally made me want to read, too. When I could read better, I started hanging out in the library more, hunting for books that fed my reading appetite. Of course, I was quite competitive in class, and the teachers had the habit of highlighting good homework and writing. These little little things fueled the fire even more and soon I found myself immersing in the wonders of creative writing. Reading quality articles with bombastic and impactful sentences excite me! Now that I have little ones, I would need to give some thought as to how to incorporate the habit and love for reading a practice at home. Thanks a lot for sharing this piece, @happycrazycon. I enjoy your writing.
