MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE SEAT BELT AND REASONS YOU SHOULD BUCKLE UP ALWAYS

Steemians, I wish to share this personal experience with you. I was travelling to Owerri a town situated in the Eastern part of Nigeria a couple of years ago; with my brother and a friend who was to wed a week from the day we travelled. I drove, so we went through a town called Aba as I had to drop off my brother at Port-Harcourt the capital of Rivers State. Along the Aba dual-carriage way, we had an accident during which my vehicle somersaulted with the four tyres facing the skies after series of overturning. The front windscreen was shattered. Luckily, I had the seat belt on and gratefully enough my friend had his own on just thirty minutes before the accident since he moved over to the front passenger seat immediately after we dropped off my brother. There we were, hung up by the belts, safe and unscratched. When we finally got out of the car, I knelt down to thank God for saving our lives. The idea is to buttress the importance of the seat belt.

Now, let us take a cursory look at one’s corporate image when driving. What is wrong in one looking corporate under the seat belt? With the belt strapped across one’s chest, one looks more gentlemanly, or for the lady, there is this smart look on her when she drives. One need to make the belt neat at all times so as not to cause stains. Just appear natural under the belt and watch how corporate you look.

Let us form the habit of always putting on the belt before driving, we all need it; the boss needs it and same with the subordinate.
