I grew up in a mountain province during my childhood days. And I did experience a lot in taking up herbal medicine in curing sickness. Not to mention applying leaves on my scars as a band aid. We're living in a mountain that time, so securing medicines would take a lot of time and costs a lot. Natural medicine does helps a lot, not only to save money but also a way of treating illness in a safe way (I guess). I remembered when my little sister had a dengue and they sneak out a water of a boiled weed (I dont know the name of that weed) in the hospital because it's what my parents and grand parents believed that would help her recover. She did recover fast. Until now, my parents is using that natural medicine. Because they think that medicines from the pharmacy would harm their body. As for me, Im somewhat forced to drink their grossly tasting tonic but whenever they're not watching I drink a "legit" medicine. XD
