Yes @malloryblythe, definitely a great comment and extremely worthy blog post.

As a former teacher, it doesn’t bother me when people don’t have a particularly strong grasp of grammar or an eloquent writing style (particularly if they’re not native speakers); I just care about effort. But there is a lot of garbage on here that goes well rewarded, and that can be frustrating.<

Also a former teacher, but of preschoolers most of whom have isiZulu or isiXhosa as their first language, so their having to learn in English requires major effort on their part, which I really appreciated. Then again, having a secondary career as a proofreader/editor, the grammar on Steemit can drive me dilly :).

As for your recommended gems, I've just had a look at @eleanorgoldfield - in particular her #introduceyourself post ... very interesting and she has some heavyweights supporting her - I hope she goes from strength to strength. I also looked at @monicacope - yes definitely incredible. It's great that you've recommended such talent in your comment.
