πŸ’Œ Steemit Comment Challenge #25 - $15 SBD + 2 x 200 SP (1 Weeks Delegation) - Comment like a Champ, Grow your blog like a Champ!! πŸ’Œ

Transform your Comment into Cash

Steemit Comment Challenge Number #25 is here!!

Big shout-out to @jo5h, last week's winner. He did the awesome thing to donate a big part of his prize money to support this contest. Thank you @jo5h for the 4 SBD!

NO VOTING - This change was introduced last week. There will no longer be a Top5 based on the most voted comments. Instead, the winner and the 2nd place will both be selected by the judges.

The challenge now ends Friday morning and the winners will be presented Friday evening, based on UTC Time.

As I wrote in my last update, I have changed my view on bid bots and stopped using them on all posts except for my contest/challenge posts.
Although the ROI is not great, I have been able to increase the prize payouts with the extra earnings. But I think I will stop using them on these challenge posts as well...

Short term it might be beneficial to use the bots to boost payouts, but for the long-term success, I believe I will be much better off with "organic growth". In the same way I'm discouraged by posts with big bid bots, I'm sure potential long-term supporters would be discouraged by my posts as well. Let's see how it will pan out.

So expect prizes to be reduced gradually in the following two rounds.
Thank you for your understanding!

The partnership with the #newbieresteemday initiative will continue. I'm happy to have them by my side and I try to do my best to support their users. The Newbieresteem initiative is an excellent community for new Steemians. Their motto and this challenge are meant to strengthen interaction skills, to support and motivate better participation. And what better way to interact with others than through excellent comments.

Get ready to deliver some magnificent comments! Polish your keyboard and sharpen your mind, I wanna see those comments rolling in. Please show me what you have got!

It is important to get followers, but you also want the correct type of followers. Followers that are truly interested in your blog and what you write, and not the β€œI-follow-you-if-you-follow-me” kind of type. And to attract the right type of followers, you need to write godlike comments.

This challenge is all about writing godlike comments.

Hi there DS! Been waiting for this contest. β™₯

First of all, I think the "no voting" is a good move. Second, I think adding the "upvote this post" rule would be quite ok considering the prizes you give each week. Lots of other contests with smaller prize pool are implementing the "must upvote this post" rule and lots of people gladly join it. I know that it's a rule in the gray area, so the decision is back to you. :D

My entry... posted as is to bait002...

do something that you would be remembered for here and beyond.

That is a beautiful quote you have there. β™₯

The best legacy that I could think of immediately would be the Nobel Prize. It's been 122 years after the death of Alfred Nobel, but his legacy still remains strong until today. Mother Teresa was also leaving her legacy clear and strong.

Creating international legacy would be quite difficult for some people. However, I believe that simple legacy could be done by everyone. Imo, to create a legacy, we can do it in two ways, the long and short way.

The long way would be to build systems in place. E.g. for your offline school you must have been building systems such as curriculums and Standard Operation Procedures.

The short way could be as simple as Pay It Forward movement. When we receive something (such as knowledge) from A, we could just pass it to B. B then to C, and so on.

Congratulation in leaving your legacy. I believe that even though the exchange could serve more people, but you offline Steemit scholl would leave bigger impact in people's lifes.

Confirmed!

The voting part is fun in a way but too few people got engaged in it and it was easy to game the system to get into Top5.

The upvoting part was link to my use of bid bots. I have never required people to upvote to be able to participate.
I’ve been using bid bots on these posts to boost earnings, so I’ve been able to payout more. So that is what I will stop with. πŸ˜€

I didn't know about steemexchanger until @danielsaori featured this post so i cannot talk about it. But it sounds like its been a blessing to steemians so kudos

That been said. I am a huge fan of "do it yourself" and i am quite good at figuring how stuff work. And in the small steemibadan group im part of ive been able to put a lot of people through some functionalities. Its not much but it helps them get bearing. I do not think we need a reason to be good to people here. It should be unconditional. Ive gained alot from steemit especially from the people ive met and they did so without reservations so i always try to help as best i can

Thank you Josh. I was also amazed when I saw this as it seems to be a great functionality for the Nigerian community.

@bait002. I must commend you guys for what you are doing @steemexchanger. About 2 weeks ago, I got a call from @steemexchanger just to welcome me officially and get my views about their service. I fell in love with @steemexchanger the more after that call.
I think you guys are really doing a great job in putting

the customer/client first

It is good you have put up this post, I feel you need to work on your new sms notification setting. I set the price of sbd at 380 as lowest, but I've got more than 4 sms notification that sbd is less than 380 when the info on @steemexchanger website is different. Can you explain better please

Have you used the service and transferred steem to fiat? Would be interesting to hear about your experience.

Yes, I have used their service and still do. If you check my wwllet you will notice some of the latest transactions to them.

Their service is really nice and pretty fast. It takes less than 10sec to get the bank alert after concluding the transaction with them.

They are the best exchange for me at the moment because of their easy user interface and fast delivery. They also have a fast response customer care.

Thanks for writing back with your experience. Wow, 10 sec!! That is impressive.

Ya, they are doing an awesome work

I am so happy to see a fellow Nigerian making such a positive impact on a global community. I would like to follow in your footsteps. Already, i am working on a project with another great Steemian. We will soon roll out the service and see how it goes to benefit the community. True, we all have somthing to offer. It's all about looking inwards and striving to solve a basic human need. We desire a lot of change in how things are done. We can make the change and have a positive impact on others. Making sacrifices is a great mark of real inventors and entreprenuers.
Thanks so much @bait002 for the great work you did with steemexchanger. I still use it for exchanging steem. I hope you guys would improve the Steem purchase process when you are through with it so that it would be automated just like exchanging steem. I admire your great work and appreciate you as a source of inspiration. Thank you so much. Here is my entry post:

I agree with you a 100% if everybody just gave in a small way or did a small deed for another to make his or or life beter. The world would be a beter place for everybody. When you give without expecting something back your reward will be 10 times more in unexpected ways.

Confirmed!
Yes, but it can be difficult to grasp for many people. Short term gains are easier to understand and those can often undermine long-term goals.

Its great that you introduce exchange site for the steemians of Nigeria. It will be a big help for them to convert their earnings into cash. And also through that site, many people will be encourage to join in the platform since there is a proof that they get paid of their output. Many people are skeptics, skeptics in a since that they think online services are prone to scam. This made by your group, will be trully a legacy to every steemians in Nigeria and to other countries.

Doing things for humanity is such an impressive work. Doing things for the sake of others and without expecting any return is such an amazing act. No reward can pay, the happiness you've felt in doing things to uplift others. You have encourage minnows to experience and learn something new to make us grow in this community. And that legacy will be forever be treasured and remembered even your not anymore in this platform. Thank you @bait002 for creating legacy for us minnows. As what you have said:

"The true beauty of our humanity is in unrewarded service. And no service pays better."

You did it great @bait002, thank you and continue in helping minnows like me and may be guided by our Creator.

Awesome guy @danielsaori, you always do a great job! I am playing this week for the "Play 4 a Newbie Challenge", so any proceeds won will go to the prize pool for the 34 Newbies entered. Thanks again for all you do!

Here is my entry

First it's great to see that @danielsaori featured your post. He always manages to find some interesting people, and with this one he didn't disappoint.

For such a young man, you show an amazing amount of wisdom. I'm happy to see that you have learned some of the most important things in life.

expecting to get nothing in return but in fact that pays the most. Make life better for someone. Not because you like them, but because you have to have a legacy. And legacy is the most important, this is because, the longevity of legacy surpasses our own duration on earth.

This is so true. We are all on this planet for a relatively short period of time, so what you do with that time is what makes you who you are. Its not the money or fame that define who we were, its the people we help and the families we raised. I'm thrilled to see that you figured it out.

I am also impressed with what you have done with the exchange. I myself have been thinking of a way to make that process easier for me (and I'm in the US). So I commend you for being one of those few in life that are "do-ers" instead of just thinkers. Providing an exchange platform for others is a great service to the platform, especially to the people that can now use it to earn money!

Finally I would like to say that you are a natural leader. You should understand and appreciate that fact because it is a talent that many aren't blessed with. Keep encouraging people and volunteering to help others, it will take you far in life as you get older!

Great job and I'm very happy to see what you are doing here and I'm glad I got a chance to see such a terrific person as my teammate here! :)

My entry is on behalf of Play 4 a Newbie Challenge. All proceeds will go to a newbie Prize Pool and hopefully you will get other players to join in your game too!

Most times, I wonder how our great fore father's survived without all these gadgets, development and technology?. I know they had a swell time anyways cause natural environment is the best.
Most of the discoveries and inventions were suffered for before they came into existence. Neon bulb was made more than a thousand times before he got it right. Those guys sacrificed for all of us. Making a sacrifice for a cause that might not pay back is somehow difficult, but humanity finds a way of paying back the good deeds we do.
I like what you're doing with @steemexchanger, but I'll definitely check it out to learn more.

Laying a legacy requires a lot of sacrifice, I'll implore to "never back down". Remain blessed and steem on!

Confirmed!
Thanks Mattyabo. Great you decided to join. Wish you the best of luck.

I must confess, there were deep life principles in your post. It's amazing. You know you said our legacy lives even after we leave this earth. You just gave me an idea for a post, I'll be sure to tag you in it.
Also, our lives have no meaning if we've not done anything for anybody even if they can't pay us back. It's not always in the paybacks, it's in the joy of having helped someone. Don't wait till you have it all, don't wait till you become a whale before helping people. I for one, I started an offline whatsapp group, I gather people and tell them about Steemit. I organise contents on my page and even though I have close to nothing, I do give away to newbies. This things are a matter of the heart. Pursue influence, adding value to anothers life and you will have all your desires. I don't know who authored this he said do for others what they want you you'll get all you want. It's principles.
And I think you guys should look into India, my reason being their government issued a ban on banks from transacting with all forms of cryptocurrencies. And I also think you can do something different, develop an app. And it sounds crazy, but encourage minnows to give. Let them contribute to contests and organise contests. Teaching them to give more will curb all the selfish acts we have presently in Steemit in the future. You sure know influence most times is not about now, it's about the future of this platform.
And I for one, I see Steemit as a place that gives me voice. Come on this is access to over 500k people. It will be a disaster on my part of I can't touch 10%

Death kills men, but their influence are greater than death.
It's not only sbd that can be given away, knowledge can too.

Confirmed!
That's the power of comments, brings you ideas for new posts. :)
Keep following those principles and you should do great. Happy to have you around.

Thank you sir. Thank you for replying my comment.

The world is a little bit bearable today because some folks made some sacrifice.

I really like your post (partly because it's short and straight to the point).

When I look around, I realise that everyone receives a reward for the good done by people and also pay a toll for the evil done.

I mean, look around, the world is better in some respect because someone somewhere did something. And here you are, doing your stuff too.

I still have great faith in humanity and also in steemit too. But it's people who do the real work, people like you that keeps folks like me going.

Good work there. And about @steemexchanger, it's a good initiative. I'll check it out.

At the end, the only things that matter are the memories we leave behind. Houses, cars, Steempower, etc, all of these will be valued based on the memories we've created

Blessings

Confirmed!
Thank you for your comment. Well done showing your appreciation for their initiative.

Thanks

Wow I have been waiting patiently for this... Here is my entry,

Wow, am really motivated with this.. @bait002 at your feet I learn.

I have learnt to help those I can and make the world a better place with the little way I can, that's why I deemed it fit to start up a program termed @backtoschool which has been approved recently on steemit, our sole aim is to return young minds #backtoschool by paying their school fess and bringing them to the steem blockchain, we will also guide and teach them how to engage well in this community so the can earn rewards and be financially free. We are planning to make it big starting from Africa then to the world, it not gonna be easy of course but That's our little way of touching life's, like you said

The world is a little bit bearable today because some folks made some sacrifice.
thanks very much for sharing.... I want to also commend you and your team for a job well done. Steemexchanger.ng is dope, and I hope to see you guys create space for buying data subscriptions with sbd/steem. Hood job guysπŸ‘

Confirmed!
Thank you and good luck with your own project.

Great work I must say @steamexchanger. I believe so much in living a life of sacrifice to see other unhappy persons happy. When you are always there to make your mark in others lives, then your memory will be a legacy carried in their hearts. If only most out there will think like this, then a world where everyone is happy will not be an impossibility. I just loved it when you said this "And what I am trying to say is, you have to look for something you’re good at and make something happen for someone else because of that. The world is a little bit bearable today because some folks made some sacrifice. Maybe the sacrifice didn’t pay them at the exact speed or level they expected but the joy of a visionary is the fact that someone has a better life and that’s because of something they did."
We have to sacrifice for the benefit of others.
" We do it for others" (Martin Luther King).

Confirmed!
Thank you for joining Hermann.

the pleasure is all mine

This is great!! Acting out of goodwill is highly rewarding. It is such a pity that some individuals only help others when they have envisaged interest. It takes a wise man to 'help' for the very purpose that rendering altruistic services is the hardcore of humanity. Life is sweet when we become part of someone's success story. It is even sweeter when we create lasting positive impact in our society.
The world need legends not egocentric individuals. So any position I find my self, I see it as an opportunity to touch lives in my little way.
Much thanks @bait002 for impacting positively on minnows.

Confirmed!
Well said SmartCarthy. I wish more people would live by those principles.

Congratulations to the 2nd prize!
I wish you a nice weekend.

Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)Β

Another great post you got there @danielsaori. I read the whole post of @bait002 and what amazes me is that he helps too many people through his minnow school. As a motivational speaker and life coach, I believe he can draw a lot of people to Steemit and used this platform to encourage and help other people. I would also like to quote this from his post.

Make life better for someone. Not because you like them, but because you have to have a legacy.

If you love what you do, you don't expect something in return. I guess that's the whole point. I like how @bait002 pointed that out on his post. The legacy, I like that word, something you will leave that money can't give you. I won't make this post too long, I just want to leave with this LEGACY acronym(I just made it, just bear with some flaws here haha)

L -eaving
E -veryone a
G -reat
A -chievement that
C -omes from
Y -ou

Thanks again for this opportunity to post here @danielsaori.

Confirmed!
Thank you Gunter01, great to have you back. Well done coming up with that LEGACY acronym. :)

You are always welcome☺

Nice contest @danielsaori; thank you for doing this to help others along!

This is the comment I left directly on @bait002's post:

"Being of Service" is perhaps one of the best legacies we can leave, specially with the understanding that "of service" sometimes stands apart from anyone else's ability to reciprocate. We do things simply because they represent "right action" in a situation.

Perhaps what we can aspire to is somehow leaving the world a better place as a result of our having been here. The reward isn't always direct; it comes simply from our own inner knowing that what we did made a difference; maybe it's simply that we see kids at the local village school having new notebooks and pens because of some action we took to help raise donations. When you are of service, there tend to be few "parades."

What you are doing in Nigeria to make a difference in people's lives is a legacy, already. People's lives are better, because of things like Minnow School and SteemExchanger. So thumbs up!

=^..^=

Confirmed!
Indeed, thumbs for the people behind offline minnow school and steemexchanger.

MY ENTRY

@bait002 who do I have to blame for not being aware that you are associated with
https://steemexchanger.ng
@steemexchanger?

We've shared the same #STACH discord server and in the #minnow-school channel you've reviewed my posts and offered useful comments and recommendations on two occasions yet I never knew about your association with this exchange service.

Yes, I've previously heard of https://steemexchanger.ng but in this period of phishing links and sites I am always extra cautious of visiting external sites let alone transacting on such the platform. And I think most minnows have the same fear too. Financial transactions requires integrity and trust, backed by the reputation of the board or directors of such financial institution or organization.

My suggestion will then be that more publications and reviews need to be made about https://steemexchanger.ng and her key operators. With you reputation, I believe the steem exchanger site will gain massive trust and loyal patronage.

@bait002 I appreciate your advise on being useful, contributing our quarters in our different corners to make the world a better place. You're an inspiration to many.

I agree that some form of ce trality is needed to engender trust in the platform. Part of that would be for the business to provide prospective users with documentation proving legitimacy and accountability. Because there is no such thong as a trustless system.

Somewhere in the process trust is involved and trust must be based on proof of reliability of those involved.

Confirmed!
You bring up a valid point and the reputation of the owners is important to build a trust for this service. Users sharing their independent experience and reviews are of great help at this stage.

The true beauty of our humanity is in unrewarded service. And no service pays better.

For each, their own perception of beauty. How many thousands have starved, betrayed by those whom they helped? I help people because I want, but not because I feel like I'll get anything out of it.

I help others after I help myself, and I don't think that people who don't help others have any ugliness in them. It's just a personal preference beyond absolute aesthetic judgement. Everything that is ugly to some can be beautiful to others, and vice-versa.

I actually wrote a post about this the other day. I won't say it's the right way to live, but I at least like to do good things because I feel satisfied rather than doing them because of a sense of divine obligation.

Confirmed!
Thank you for sharing that with us. I think it is a great way to live and hopefully more can follow the same path.

Hello everyone, again here showing my participation, again I congratulate the creators of this experience, here is my comment:

Hello @bait002 no doubt your words are very encouraging, but I would like to point out the following: I always try to help my family financially, because in my country we go through a terrible economic situation, my biggest reward is to see them well and calm, I always try to help my colleagues at work, sharing my knowledge with them, my greatest reward is to see them defend themselves in any situation, I always try to guide my son on the right path being more than a responsibility, a tranquility for me, since I will have the necessary tools to be a good man.
Perhaps many of us are looking for financial or tangible rewards, but always even if we don't see them, our good deeds are rewarded from heaven, making our hearts have much love to give to all those we help every day.
When we put heart into it, the rewards fall from the sky
Sorry for my mistakes, I don't speak English, I use a translator

Confirmed!
Thank you for your contribution. And well done finding the courage to post in English.

Thank you very much for the opportunity, this type of challenge motivates us to be more creative and seek to improve ourselves even more.

WOW! That is a very nice idea. Indeed, humanity is in unrewarded service. I appreciate those people like them who really do humanity here in Steemit. I am still new here in steemit and I am still trying to find how everything works in this platform but one day, when I will be able to understand more, I would also want to help others, too. :) :)

Confirmed!
Even the smallest thing can be of great help for someone. A comment like this might make the day for many people on the platform. :)

Thank you @danielsaori :)

I'd like to be a guest judge this time. Are there any conditions?

Great! I can hook you up for the next round. Please send me a message on steemit.chat or Discord.

Even though I'm totally oblivious of the #steemexchanger platform until this post got featured, I must say that your philanthropic deed is one of a kind.

The true beauty of our humanity is in unrewarded service. And no service pays better.

This part hit me hard as I'm very much aware how people only seek to help when there's a reward attached.

It's like a call to action for me as I'm most times guilty.

Thanks to your philanthropic nature, I'd seek to improve.

Just like you said,

do something that you would be remembered for here and beyond.

This has always been my desire and you establishing an offline minnow school is just like a push for me to do good too.

Thanks, you're much of an inspiration.

Confirmed!
Just get out there and show the world who you are. :) Spread some love and make this a better place.

Thank you for your time and I'm pleased to read your comment.

Exactly.....

Thanks and also for the confirmation....smiles

I like your phrase a lot. It defines the internal and sincere beauty of the people, the one that can not be observed with the naked eye; It's like anonymous. I appreciate people who do not publish their good deeds, recently I participated in a contest in which I took pictures of my help to a foundation, I did not want to publish them, but here it is, on my blog profile. So many other people see what can be done with a little love; what can be achieved.

Confirmed!
Thank you Albanyg12
