Excellent comment! Was about to say that you can easily make this into a great post, and I realized you have just done that. :)
Making quality comments is a great way to grow and to build followers. A rewarding tactic can be to focus some of your time to comment on higher rep accounts. It will definitely be more challenging to build a connection, but it will increase the chances of some big upvotes, which in the end can be very rewarding for the overall Steemit experience.
I suppose I can do that. It just rubs me the wrong way when people are obviously trying to grovel for upvotes and attention from people with a lot of Steem Power. If it were me I would find that really annoying. I end up spending my time on newbie posts because I want to be encouraging, but I'll try chiming in on conversations on bigger posts from time to time. Thank you for the advice!
