My mum came down to visit me this week and it's always a joy to be able to go to church together with her. For those who don't know, I'm staying in West Malaysia alone and my family is in the East. My mum or dad often comes down every few months to visit me. As we're about a week after Easter and Good Friday, the preacher this morning was still emphasizing about the Love of God. How much Christ had to go through on that Cross. It was pretty interesting because many times we talk about salvation and the resurrection. This time, the preacher focused on the Emotional Sufferings that Jesus went through on that cross.

Yes, there was a lot of physical torture when Jesus was being hung on the Cross, but what was even more painful was that He went through emotional sufferings as well. It dawned upon me that Jesus who was sent also had emotions just like you and I. He however was rejected by the very people whom He came to save.

I don't know about you, but I've felt rejected before and it hurts. How much more....did He feel rejected when He was nailed on the cross.

His mind probably went through all the emotions, rejection, being forsaken because He did asked God in the bible, "Why have you forsaken me?" at one point of time as He was hung on the cross. This was because the sins of the world had fallen upon Him and God had to turn His face away.

The Sermon made me realized a different side of how a normal preacher would usually preached an Easter message. About how Jesus rose from the grave. This time, it showed me how much He had to go through to LOVE us.

I hope this short message blesses your week ahead and to realize that there is a God up there who loves you much more than anything you can comprehend.

Thank You

@zord189 Amen. This post reminds me of Hebrews 12. One of my favourites. God bless you Zord and ya fam. Glad to see you're posting in this section. :) Keep the fire burning!

Loved that verse!!! Thank you for sharing @cookntell. Are you a Christian as well? :D

yup Zord :) Baptized last December 11, 2006 but long been since my Dad died. It's when my mom encountered the Gospel. I grew up going to sunday school. Had bumps along the road but yeah, we gotta keep the burning. Now still standing, keeping eyes fix unto Him. Gotta keep fighting. :)

Oh I'm sorry for your lost. But wow, Thank God your mom had an encounter! That's the best thing that ever happened to me too! It was at a church camp and it transformed me to who I am today. That is true, always let Him be the center of it all.

@zord189 Yep. haha I had one unforgettable youth camp I remember waking up very early in the morning so excited just so I can praise Him together with the young peeps. We'd sing songs, jump, shout and cry at the same time. So young, wild & free in love with Him. Precious moments like that. :) Right now i'm just watching online (Elevation church) to keep going. :)

Ohhh, that reminds me so much like my first youth camp!!! I was definitely jumping up and down young, wild & free! That was my first encounter and later everything changed! Ooo elevation church! Nice. I listen to Steven Furtick, Bethal Music, Worshipmob and many more!

I've been dreading this week... going back to work and all. But knowing there will be someone there when I need Him is a comforting thought. Thanks for the reminder, what a blessing.

Ahhh, sometimes we gotta take a step back, take a breather and realign ourselves. Enjoy the little things beside us.

Thank you for sharing.

Ur welcome :)
