Family good sense of humor (referring to my human family)- read post - Steemit roots deep - Mylog #2

Photograph shows how deep roots grow. Photo was taken on my roof, not by me. An explanation at bottom of this post.

My roots are laughable

I found life laughable as a child growing up in southeast Texas. At a young age I wonder why my family has such a good sense of humor, making jokes and using sarcasm.

At first it hurt if they were laughing and it was about me. My Uncle thought it is funny how I pronounce certain words being from southeast Texas. (He's from the there too.) I am still learning to say these words. What he fails to realize is I am listening to him.

In other words, many times the adults weren't any help.

I begin to get a good sense of humor observing the sheer insanity in my family. Waking up to thinking this can either be funny or I can cry, it's a choice.

For the record

This is referencing my Mother's side of the family about the sense of humor and some siblings. Mother's mom, Grandmother, had many rules she was serious too. Grandma passed over but I am sure she would want me to let you know this.

Comedy

Later for a very short time, I might add, I decide to be a comedian. Actually, I all really want to do to write comedy. This comedy gigg happens in my 30's so long ago, I am double that age now.

It all began while taking a comedy writing class in Denver, Colorado. The instructor announces if you want to be really good comedy writer you need to do standup comedy. Otherwise, how can you expect someone else to do the material you write?

For some reason unbeknownst to me, I agreed on trying out my own material on stage. First in Denver and then later in Las Vegas at small clubs. This adventure will get written at some other time.

I got thrown off track in the middle of writing this, my husband wants me to make an espresso.

Explanation of photo - plumbing broke

In a previous post I may have mentioned the toilet went out...anyway, plumbing problems. This gets resolved yesterday and the photo is of a tree root.

In order to reach the tree roots a roto blade has to run from the top of the roof. Trying to go through the bathroom pipes did not work.

The HUMAN people in Steemit are the most important. I am not down playing that by saying keep Steem roots strong.
@rebeccabe loves you guys.

@rebeccabe, What if you were a comedian as you said?

What if? Not sure how to interpret.
You are kind of tripping me out. Lol

I think we would be surprised how many creative people are in Steemit.

Sorry I didn't mean it.
Actually that's my mistake I misinterpret your post, now I have read some of your previous posts
You have got an outstanding sense of humour.
@rebeccabe

You are too kind. I never said I was funny. Please do not hold me to that my new friend.

I think the relationships build here on steemit are the roots that hold us together.

@wa2qr you are right.. that creates the family roots for Steemit ..Steem helps us keep growing too.. those roots are also important...many take their money out. I never have, some have enough steem power they can take it out. I will eventually.

We used to have a saying in TSU, "came for the money stayed for the people"..or something like that @steevc started it.

BTW: family roots laughable refers to "MY human family, not steemit family" You will understand in the post. I amended the title in case someone else needs to know.

It's funny how we can become so rooted in a place without ever meeting that person in real life. I have fostered some extremely close relationships on here, which I would have found strange ten years ago, but, seem normal to me now.

I can see you being a comedianne. You have a very dry, yet profound sense of humor. Plus, you really do crack me up. I lived in San Antonio for a couple years and still have fond memories of the most awesome people on earth! ;)

Oh, you have deep roots!

Upped and Steemed

Tip!

I am grateful for folks like you. There are eggshells in my posts deliberately and I walk very carefully, but everyone once in a while.
Well you know, a chicken pops out. LOL .. have a great day.. :)

Love your dry wit! Don't ever change, just because someone else thinks you should, especially extended family!

thanks for that.. I agree. Hope you are safe.

Oh cool to learn some of your background. Any tales from the comedy days I am sure would be a laugh!

My family is really not that bad. It seems like when I write something in here it doesn't always sound right. The context, no one is drunk. Just kidding. You know what I mean all different backgrounds.
I will have to go check you out. Also I need to start tagging a few @photobe photos for over there.

I can't keep up with you guys...all the days different challenges and contests. I forget where photos are that match. @old-guy-photos

I figured i would resteem since the tree root is a photo.

LOL
