Globalization is a term used to describe changes in society (change) and in a world generated by the rapid increase of trade and cultural development. In the economic sense, globalization on trade liberalization or free trade (free trade).

Two important and emerging factors of globalization are the rapid growth of communication technology and the existence of world economic integration.
The cheap causes of globalization are the turn of the world, the rapid flow of information, and the rapid growth of multinational corporations.
Challenges to globalization, among others, empower society, the world without borders, a new era of capitalism, and citizens' awareness.
In international relations as a form of cooperation between countries, Indonesia implements the nature of foreign policy as follows: 1). Free and active 2). Anti-imperialism and colonialism took part in the order of the world. 3). Serving on the national interest and mandate of people's suffering. 4). Democratic.
The positive effects of globalization include: 1). In the political field, that is to increase law enforcement and democracy maturity, increase maturity and humanitarian political parties, and improve. 2). In the economic field, namely to improve the quality of production. 3). Socio-cultural field, which is to improve the personality, attitude, and impact of thinking. Life is easy and cheap; increase people's incomes. 4). The field of science and technology, which can absorb science and technology that will support and facilitate development, more easily obtain information, and have a broader insight in terms and concepts. 5). Mental attitudes, namely to enhance the culture of discipline and work ethics that improve the results of productivity and work performance. 6). The field of human rights, namely raising national awareness and resilience, unity and unity of the nation, loyalty to Pancasila, and understanding of the Archipelago Insights that avoid separatism, social conflict, and disintegration of the nation.
The negative effects of globalization in politics are as follows: Politics - Increasing political euphoria / excessive political / political freedoms, ie activities that act in the name of human rights and democracy, but have the main target of seizing local or central forces.
The negative impacts of globalization in the economic field are: The economic field: (a) Establish a global network that embraces the whole world and directs it to a country that has dependence on poor countries; (b) Cause capital changes that encourage social incidence.
The negative effects of globalization in the field of socio-culture are: a) Growing the pattern of life gesellschaft (development), relationships and cooperation between people on the basis of profit and mutual cooperation. b) Causes dangers that threaten human rights (things to avoid), among others, as follows. Hedonism, materialism, secularism, individualism, egoism, extremism, clitism, exclusivism, glamorism, and consumptive.
Attitudes that we must develop for the advancement of the impact of globalization are as follows: a). Increasing faith and piety to God Almighty to avoid negative impact of globalization. b). Giat increase cooperation with other countries. c). Accepting cultures that match the personality of the Indonesian nation (without destroying local structures and cultures). d). Preserving natural resources from global pollution. e). Improve discipline and responsibility.
