RE: Does Steemit Show the Greed of Us Humans? (English/German)

in #steemit7 years ago

It is indeed a mixture of both. Greed alone won't go anywhere in this platform, I've been active for a week now and I still haven't created much content (it's a new game for me and I'm getting the ropes), but I can already see that. I see tons of bots with their "nice post! very inspiring! Thanks for sharing!", tons of people trying to take shortcuts and reposting articles found on the net or on Steemit itself, other people trying to create content they know virtually nothing about just because they have to follow the trends, and it is already hurting the platform - clogging the system with useless posts that makes it harder to find the good ones.

Making it on Steemit is going to be hard work, especially for those, like me, who are not used to creating content. Commenting and upvoting apparently only gets you so far. So yeah, it's harder to post 3-5 times a day, but the ultimate question is: do you have something real to say 3-5 times a day? If you do, it's not wrong to post 3-5 times, I think. It's greed but it's not really a bad thing if you have to work to earn the money - it's just a different kind of job, one that gives you more freedom and, coincidentally, might get you kinda rich, but if you're not yourself when you post content it's not going to help you emerge, don't you think? You can clearly see when someone makes a chore out of posting...

Sort:

The people you mentioned above with spamming comments or copying posts won't have a successful future on steemit, that's for sure.
At some point they will receive more and more flags, so that they won't be taken seriously.

do you have something real to say 3-5 times a day? If you do, it's not wrong to post 3-5 times
-> Actually I think the fewest have something important to say that frequently.
Maybe if they do a lot of research and do this for full time job.

Thank you for your great valuable comment!
I wish you big success on steemit, maybe you'll find something you want to contribute with this community.
See you!
