My 100 Days on Steemit and How I Started on This Site

Its been 100 days already since I started using Steemit. I am glad that I did not easily give up on this site as I am loving being here now.

I discovered Steemit while browsing for sites where I could write and earn at the same time. When I first encountered Steemit, I remember that it was defined as a social networking site where you can earn Steem. That time, I am only familiar with Bitcoins, Dogecoins and Litecoins. So, I told myself what is Steem, sounded like just made up or something to be cautious about.

Since I got too curious about it, I visited the site and look around the blogs. I saw blogs that earn hundreds of SBDs and that made me think more that this is just a scam site. But since I am not familiar with SBD, I thought that maybe it is just satoshis or meaning minimal value, just large numbers. Which was good interpretation for me cause I convinced myself to signed up. Anyways, it was just free to sign up so, why not give it a try.

When I was notified that my account was approved. I immediately wrote articles and then search for older blogs that would explain me more how to effectively use this site. Even I could see just cents on the first days for my blogs, I keep writing and learned about the voting bots such as the #minnowsupport and banjo votes. Then later discovered Discord and was able to communicate to other Steemians. I am thankful for those who made me feel welcome and true for helping a newbie fellow steemian to survive in this platform.

When I got #curie vote, I was of course happy. Although I know that such vote was just like a blue moon. Then as I stay more and remained active on Steemit, I discovered those communities and whales that are supporting those communities, which includes me as a minnow. Which is really good cause in any platform, if there is a support system, more will be surviving and growing.

I also treat my blogs here as my diary as I am sharing my thoughts and part of my life through writing as well as some of my own photos in this wonderful platform. So this My 100 days on Steemit... blog is my way of documenting the goodness I found in this site and way of thanking back the community. Keep Steeming!
