RE: There's more in life to talk about on Steemit than Steemit

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Good thing is, that people are tribing up. It maybe doesn't go the way it could, with cool diverse stuff going to main page, but I've seen an increase in the post value. And I have like what? 12 blog pieces. Hopefully this trend comtinues, and imstead of making cents for stuff, it is going to be at least dollars. I don't mind really. But it is true, that the problem exists.
One of the ways to solve it is to keep the posts you are interested in in active for longer.
You've got only one upvote, but commenting sends the post back in active. So for minnows comments are gold, since longer the post stays in active the longer it is visible. And maybe not whalesor dolphins will see, but people who are genuinely interested in such content. With that come followers, and connections.
It will take a while, but hopefully in next half a year or so the things will even out. And this trendy thing? It might help us all build some SP? Perhaps it is the wrong way to go about it, since it perpetuates current situation & puts more SP into accounts of those who write about steemit. But that is probably how things like unions originated. Or tribes and tribal aliances if we look further back.

I myself chose to upvote steemit centered posts if they are interesting and bring me new insight. At other times my vote goes to other people.
