This is true. And it is a good point.

The benefit I see with having a bigger window for votes on post is support. There's concern of course that this would detract attention away from the newest content being created...but I don't think it really does....because it wouldn't have an expiry either.

Maybe you don't have any liquid steem or sbd at the moment but you got a bunch of steem locked up in steem power - you got some voting power
