A little over two weeks into month 5! Not much to report but still moving forward. The market took a dip towards the middle of July but has come back and leveled off. I could be wrong but it seems like the panic selling from the gaining in popularity of Etherium has calmed down. One thing I did notice was that since Etherium operates from mining through using your computer has made CPU’s and RAM drives very important thus causing the price of the hardware to steadily increase. At the time of typing this, Steem sits at $1.20 and I have no plans to go anywhere soon.
Big THANK YOU to the 214 followers and those that engage in my posts. I really appreciate all of you. With that said, I was thinking about it and I realized that I don’t have any other goals to reach besides an arbitrary amount to earn with this account over the course of a year. I came up with a few others to add and may add more as we go along.
Goals by 1-year mark
- Post 2-3 times a day.
- Reach an account value of $1500+
I feel these are challenging enough since this account is, for all intents and purposes, a hobby. I enjoy writing about the things I love in life and I really enjoy those that are willing to listen and respond with their own perspective on the matter. Still being a hobby, I have other obligations and responsibilities, like everyone else, that may interfere with my post frequency. And for that I am sorry and am working on finding a balance.
My buddy @allprowi posted a guide explaining how to use the market interface instead of the converter button to convert your SBD into Steem Dollars. If done properly, you can get more Steem than if you were to just use the button. It will take a little of time compared of just hitting a button and confirming the action but you can get the most out of each SBD you are trying to convert. That has changed up how I approach converting my SBD. Instead of hitting the button on every little amount that I would accrue, I am now waiting until I have a few dollars so I can convert larger amounts at one time. Definitely a good read if you want a better understanding of using the market to convert your SBD.
Playing through the Destiny 2 Beta has got me pumped for the release in September! The console release for Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds is another game that I really want to try. The way that it is set up makes it no wonder why it has gained such popularity over the past months. With so many great releases this holiday season, it is sure to be one filled with gunfire and hot chocolate. With the set up I have available to me for the time being, the chances of me using Twitch and YouTube in tandem to stream and bring those videos here are becoming greater. The reason being is that YouTube videos are the only ones that will play natively in Steem posts, that I am aware of. Links are nice and all but I think we can all agree that we would much rather view a video in-post as opposed to going to another page, cuz 21st century. A link to the channel will be in each post and video would most likely be only used for highlights and informative reasons. I would use YouTube Gaming but they don’t have an app that is integrated with Xbox yet or I would take that route.
The gaming community here on Steemit isn’t the largest but has many great curators. @locikill writes awesome game reviews and thought provoking articles related to gaming. @primelink is another great curator of gaming content and is very pro-active in the community. I often come across their content not just because it’s great but because of their approach and thought processes, like other writers, are at a level I aspire to reach. Cheesy? Maybe but I am a student of life and want to learn and grow as much as I can in the fields I like. I’ve said it before but I cherish this community and the people here that honestly want to see this community grow and help others when they can.
With another month in the bag and we have our objectives to complete by the mark of one year. I’m sure they will be met and more importantly there will be some awesome experiences to be shared and learned from. I’m curious and excited to just how much can happen and be done in one year.
Until next time, THANK YOU for your support and engagement!
