I've had the sam3 conversation with my mate, and it all comes down to their misunderstanding of steemit. therfore my convo pretty much only is explaining how steemit works and less of a debate. any way i enjoy the points you bring up in here. thanks for the post.

Yes, it was the same with me and my friend, a very friendly conversation. It's good to have an open, amicable discussion... and actually I think Steemit is actually training me to do that - to think of ways in which I can phrase things more gently, to make people feel like they're being included and that their opinion is important. So, that's another reason to be grateful for Steemit. Cheers!
